Hey thank you for the reference to Dr. Norman C. Deno's books, I've found the pdfs through the links you provided and so far excellent material with information that I haven't come across in other books. A great resource when stratifying many types of tree and perennial seeds.
I have a ton of seed that is over 6 years old easily I tried to pop some but had terrible results. Some of the seed I own can not be purchased anymore and I don't want to lose the genetics!
Thank you for your videos , you’ve helped my garden very much , if I may ask , how do you grow nasturtiums ? I cannot get them to germinate , I planted them in regular soil and nothing , I’ve replanted other seeds from a different company and nothing , so I planted some from both companies soaked them , planted them and put them in the refrigerator , took them out after 30 days and nothing , I’ve planted them outside and nothing .. what am I doing wrong ?
Humm, Well the most info I could find on making a GA3 solution. Just tapped a dusting on my seeds and soaked with towel with alcohol and some water. Fingers crossed. lavender seeds said to use it...
Am I understanding correctly that you don't winter sow after treatment with GA3? You just treat in the spring and plant like that? Considering using it this year.
wait for it do develop its first true leaves. then start fertilizing with a high nitrogen fertilizer, but it depends on what your growing. water heavily too, but not too much to wash out fertilizer salts
Mostly, but it should be GA-3 as it works fast. Since GA-4 works slowly. Rooting powders also have NAA /IBA, you can google for the full form of those abbreviations.
yes. im a bit late, but, i reccomend manually removing the hard pericarp aroudn the seed, or at least tear a part of it off to reveal the embryo. then soak the seeds in room temp to cold water . then you can either stratify or use the ga3 method.
seaweed extract does contain gibberellic acid, but it's not very concentrated. it contains about 5ppm to 10ppm gibberellic acid, but, for seed germination, you'd usually use about 100ppm to 1000ppm gibberellic acid. you could probably find a seaweed extract that contains more gibberellic acid, but concentrated gibberellic acid is dirt cheap compared to seaweed extract

the second method is GENIUS!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Really great info. Started using your bag method last year. You rock.

What is the amount of GA3 90 percent in wheat seed treatment of 150kg ?
Can GA3 be used on Venus Flytrap or other Canivorous plants?
Does anyone have experience germinating annona seeds?
Thanks for a great detailed video.
Great Information Thanks!!
Great video.
What about spraying method , to spray seeds with GA3 solutions
GA 3 use in groundnut seeds?
Very useful information! Thank you.❄️💚🙃
What concentration of ginerallic acid to use in ppm ?
500
@@pixelghost914 Thank you.
@@indianb1918 yeah beginning video he said 10 ml water 10mg gibberellic acid 1000ppm + 10ml water 500 ppm

Yes.
thanks great video. i will try this method. 😃😃🙏🙏 what is the concentration of gb3 you are using? i have powder labeled 90% on the packet.
I am using pure GA - probably 99%. 90% should work just as well.
Great video. I would like to know how to speed up the growth of seedling after germination.
You can't speed up growth. Plants only grow at a certain rate. Provide nutrients, water and light.

i don't know about growth but i remember from my high school biology, photosynthesis can be sped up by co2, light, and temperature until to a point.
Wow thats very interesting thanks
Any successful experience with Montanoa bipinnatifida?
no
Is gibberellic acid what's in commercial "rooting powder"?
Mostly, but it should be GA-3 as it works fast.
Since GA-4 works slowly.

Ga3 can apply mushroom
thanks... nice information.. ❤❤❤
May try with the super hot peppers i am having a hard time getting to germinating. Thank you.

Thanks for the video. Is GA good for cut flowers?
No idea what you expect it to do on cut flowers?
Great info. Thx. Wonder if it would help Japanese Maples?

I use it in bird peppers now i have 1500 plants on my ranch
Mandrake experiment....here I come.
Why not use seaweed instead. Does seaweed not contain Gibberellic Acid ?

@@cvspvr Thanks for the info.
I don't think it would have enough.
Also, the naturally available GA usually is in the GA-4 form.
GA-3 works very fast.
