Not been to Chang Mai since 1995. Was very quiet then. Not many bars . But went to a go go bar there with my friend then. Also, we saw the Buddha temples around Chiang Mai and went to the main attraction near there, at Doi Suthep. We also went river rafting and elephant riding, just outside Chiang Mai. Had a really great time there.
Great to see things picking up there. Was there a few months ago and that boxing bar area was dead. Food looked delicious. Chiang Mai is a great place to see. So diverse from old to new and Nimman area def worth a visit. Glad to see you guys taking a break.
That's crazy. When I went all those years ago it was because my bestfriend and wife opened a bar right where Dan Dan was stood next to the Boxing ring. There was a back entrance there where you come in off that soi, next to that. It was always busy and late night there.
Ah miss the night life of Chiang Mai. So many Thai fights on around Chiang Mai. The market in old town amazing. See you when I get back from North East Thailand
Nice one Nick. I enjoyed the interviews and walkthroughs of the different nightlife areas in Chiang Mai. Did you try the food at Lanna Square by the Zoe in Yellow area?
i just spent 3 weeks in Chiang Mai and a short trip to Chiang Rai, as well-- I really enjoy that town and area. My wife has an artist friend and she hangs out with him at his studio while I range the town sketching, cooking Thai food at night, etc. Met some nice folks on Loi Kroh Road and enjoyed My Place and I'm Shy, two great little bars. I don't hang at the Muay Thai area cuz I'm not looking for any horizontal ends to the evening--wife wouldn't be keen on it!
Not Cowboy or Nana, but I would enjoy a visit. Loved the food. USD $50 is an excellent price. Can you access a wireless internet connection? Safety? Thanks for a trip to the "outside".
Your film editing is getting Hollywood quality Nick !! Yeah Chiang Mai seems like another planet compared to Soi 6 in Pattaya. Not quite "Sleepy Town" but I'd say "quaint" and a little action but much more reserved. I do want to travel there and focus on the Golden Triangle adventure tours. Thanks for the very detailed tour !!

Hi Nick , another great vdo The girls ( in Vdo ) seem a lot prettier than the girls you show in Pattaya Less tattoos and braces Would you say this was the norm when you walked around ?
In the boxing nightlife area, do any of the bars have any good beers, or just the usual watered-down Thai commercial beers? Any Guinness, Asahi, Beer Lao Dark, Chang Mai brewery craft beer, German or Belgium beers? I would appreciate knowing, before I pop up there. Thanks.
@@NDTViThailand I classify San Mig as a watered-down Thai Commercial beer, which are rubbish, but popular since cheap. I’m asking about any bars with a better beer selection… like Guinness, Beer Lao Dark, Asahi and Chang Mai craft brewery, which are a step up from all the other commercial beers.

Fair comment and in my opinion Nolan had the best talent. And yes I will be getting out more to other cities. I'm liking Bangkok at the moment so I will be taking a trip back there before the next city.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there in Chiang mai looking for Girls,., Especially in those beers bars,., All the Girls there don't go with customers, they just milk you for lady's drink until closing time. Very disappointing.

6 months or a year ago I would agree but Pattays now has a lot more hotter girls.
Is it worth to go there on a 3 week Thailand trip?
It is definitely worth visiting not sure about 3 weeks. That being said it is quite a big city and there's a lot to see.
Always good to see you and June enjoying time together out of the hustle.
How do you find this restaurant on google maps. Can you link these places in your video description?
