After living in the “beltway bubble” with all of its issues 🙄😑, it was nice to come home to this. No matter how poor, old and dilapidated people think it is, there is a peace and sanity to it that I’ve learned to appreciate.
The Kinzua Bridge, a long and tall railroad bridge, is in nearby Mt. Jewett. Its midsection was destroyed by a tornado in 2003. Still an interesting place to visit.
Kane appears to be clean and very well kept. It looks like it is holding itself together through the tough economic transition. Beautiful architecture, historic townscape, beautiful large trees and the streets appear in good pavement condition. I loved that one recently resurfaced street. Granted it has some decay and abandonment but this little community is in very good shape overall and it appears to still have some business in it.
I was born in Kane PA in 1955. We moved to Buffalo NY o/a 1968. Now I am retired and living in Augusta GA. I still miss Kane it was a great place to grow up then!
wow! that brings back memories. my grandparents had a house across from this cool park. it was in the 70s. my grandfather had a job with Pennzoil. he died in 1973. it really changed a lot. was hoping to retire there someday
I love your videos of Americana, what once was and the beautiful architecture of old buildings. Seeing places I'll never get to thru your lens is like I'm there. Thank you ❤
My uncle was driving home from visiting us in Bradford, and he experienced the Kane tornado. I hope you go to Bradford, my old hometown. You are close. 😊
Looks like a really nice place to live back in the day , so bad what’s happened to places like this all over the states, watching all the way from Leeds West Yorkshire UK ❤️❤️
Very peaceful and well maintained. This alone beats 99.9% of similar locations in other parts of the world. Even a 'desolate' place in the US remains a distant dream for so many other countries.
Lovely time of year to cruise PA, I'm kinda jealous What was that trestle on the right at the end? Kane reminds me of the smaller-ish towns I live around (central SW Michigan)
Same old story. Industry moves out. Poverty sets in although this place doesn't look too bad but there are a lot of empty store fronts and shuttered factories. What does a person do to earn 45K a year in this place?
Kane Pensilvania me parece Bellísimo y muchas camionetas Estadounidenses 🇺🇲❤️ y son las mejores 🇺🇲❤️ algún día me encantaría conocer esté magnífico país.
That 2nd burnt building you showed used to be a service garage with apartments above. And you didn't stop at Bells or Texas hot lunch? The log truck you were following represents Kane history. That's what keeps Kane going. The Black Cherry capital of the world. Most is sent all over the world!
Thanks for the ride along. Kane appears to still have quite a bit of pride even though there is a bit of decay. The pride makes a difference !!

Thoroughly enjoy your videos! Marietta Ohio/ Williamstown WV sometime? Ruins of the Fenton factory, maybe? The old marble factory
Bell's Market in Kane is awesome.
Nice motorcycle ride along highway 6 which runs all the way across the country and through some of the most scenic places and towns in N PA.
The street with The Goodwill store kind of looks like Lyell ave in Rochester NY

Nice Video, For the side clips what camera are you using? and where are you putting it in?
Looks like a quiet, simple town.
I thought Kane was a very charming little town. I went through there a couple of years ago when I went to Kinzua Bridge State Park.
New Thomson House is a 6 story building, on the right side of the street, at 1:47, built when?
Does amtrak go thru the town 🤔

gas in the uk is about $7.60 a gallon
Picturesque town.
That's a nice, quaint town. Thanks for the ride along! ❤
Nice town.

Happy new year!
Ever wonder what’s in all those old abandoned buildings?
This one looks nice
We ride 100 miles just to go to Bell's, a true old school butcher shop. Their meat sticks and cheese are excellent!
Any Italian restaurant there!!??
Kool beans. This is where I live
Its actually very cute
Wowww
Enjoy watching keep safe Po God blessed ❤
Not too exciting and also some run down places but not the worst and also some nice places.
Like the older well-kept homes and the train station. The newer stuff has no appeal.
Tops supermarket. I miss Tops.
Sad that America is not what it once was.
Almost every one of those abandoned houses has a mowed front lawn. Someone cares.
🍻🇮🇹👏🏻
