Haley and Matilda create incredible content that I will always recommend, but their hearts are so big, too. I feel very lucky to have connected with them ❤️
Earliest I've ever been to a video. Every time I get a notification that you've uploaded, I open it immediately. I've found so many great products through you! Love your content!
I use a product I’ve never heard anyone talk about- it’s called the Clinique for Men Face Bronzer. It used to be a women’s product but they rebranded it, my 85 yr old grandmother has used it for many many year. It is a sheer, but quite pigmented, gel bronzer. I use a tiny pea sized amount and pick it up on a duo fiber brush from the back of my hand. It looks like the most natural, reddish toned, sun kissed look. Definitely wouldn’t work for everyone’s tastes, but it’s such a unique product!
That’s amazing! Haha I hope you like it! It definitely takes a minute to figure out how to work with it (I basically rub it all into the back of my hand with my brush first before going on my face) but in my opinion it’s soo good!
I usually skip bronzer, but when I do use it I’m always afraid of my cheeks looking muddy once I apply blush. I feel like blush > bronzer, so often if I want a more bronze look I go with a nude blush. At the same time, I weirdly want to enjoy a cream bronzer. Any tips for wearing bronzer and blush together?
Love the Fenty in Mocha so much - an Amanda purchase for me. The color is perfect. I struggle with rosacea, so I'm always looking for things that don't bring out my redness. This is so natural and perfect!
Just sent all of the beginners guide vids to my sister because she told me literally yesterday, "I think I want to wear cream products more," and I always rave about cream makeup. Love this video as always!
I just want to say thank you - I'm getting near 60, and my skin has changed so much - from very oily when I was young, to quite dry now. I found I had to buy a whole new range of cream products and learn how to work with them. It's nice to find a youtuber that spends time explaining the best techniques for cream products, and reviews so many of them. Also, I haven't ever used bronzer, it wasn't common when I was young. My face is paler and dryer than before, so I want to add some natural looking, semi-dewy color, and the way you apply it is subtle and natural, giving me confidence to try it. A lot of youtubers use so much, especially on the hairline, and I didn't want to look like that. Now I'll need to buy a cream bronzer or two and start practicing.
I have similar skin and am almost 60 too. I have done tons of research and i think i'm going to go with the Elf putty bronzer for my first attempt. I've noticed that as I've gotten older traditional blush just doesn't look good on me. My teenager, who is amazing with makeup, suggested i try a bronzer but use a very light hand. At my age, i want a bit of life to my face but every single color of blush i have ever tried just looks unnatural and a healthy tan has always suited me so his suggestion about trying a bronzer makes perfect sense. BUT i absolutely don't want one that will pull orange so i'm nervous about that. Thank goodness Ulta has a great return policy 🙂
@@sarahferguson0 I'd like to know how it turns out. I have fair skin with a lot of pink in it, so blushes do look good on me. But so many things don't look good anymore, like colorful eye shadows or dark wine color lips and blush. I used to love them. So much adjusting to do!
@@shariwelch8760 oh my gosh, same. I wear mostly nude/neutral eyeshadow and tinted lip balms. My brows have given me the most grief. They have gotten so sparse and i'm having a hard time finding a good match in brow products. The dark brown i used to use is suddenly not a good match. I don't have an incredible amount of grey in my hair but my brows have definitely gotten lighter. My teenager, yet again, suggested i try a soft black and it seems to work. Wet n Wild has an Ash brown that is a fairly good match but the formula is not as long lasting as i'd like. The black works if i use a light hand and i wear the Revlon Color Stay micro pencil so i get all day coverage but i wish they made an ash brown. I'll let you know about the bronzer.
I was waiting and waiting for someone I follow to post something new. I needed something to watch In order Procrastinate doing my real work. Ahh... thank you for this.
Great video! You shared a lot of useful information which I personally needed because I've never been big on bronzer and because I'm new to cream products. Oh, and that lipstick shade is beautiful on you! 😍
AMANDA OMG, I am so excited for this! Fenty's is so great! TY! 😁 Also, I HAVE to tell you I found THE HG Best Cream Bronzer EVER for $10 that isn't orange, and seriously beats any high end bronzer. Will have it up on my channel in the next day or two (hidden gems, don't wanna give it away 😉) and I think you would absolutely LOVE this new US brand!!! 🥰 I hope you get a chance to try it, I really think you will absolutely love the finish and the undertones, especially if you have oily dehydrated skin like me or dry skin 😊
Thanks for this! I have a light neutral skin tone , on the dry side and I’ve been searching for a good cream bronzer. Btw your hair is absolutely gorgeous!! 🔥🔥
I have been struggling with bronzer forever! I just could not make it work. Until I tried Revlon Skin Lights bronzer! It’s in the middle on the creamy-stiff scale, and has a gentle shimmer that makes it so easy to blend and looks quite natural on me ( I look best in radiant and dewy textures. Mattes tend to look harsh )
Hi Amanda! I’m new subscriber. I’m 43 and just starting on my make up journey. Would you be so kind to make a video on placement of blush and bronzer? I always get confused. Thank you I really enjoy your reviews, you’re so approachable!
This has changed for me as I've aged! Watching Amanda will give you some approaches she uses. I know that Andreea Ali, Karimma Mckimmie, and Stephanie Marie have YT videos on placement. Check out this video starting at 14:11 - Amanda is going through her bronzer placement approach.
i know this is blush not bronzer but i would LOVE for you to review the new flower beauty blush bomb shades! im always on the hunt for excellent drugstore cream products
Hi Amanda, Does the fenty cream bronzer picks your foundation because it’s so emollient? If so, which one would you recommend that does do that? I prefer something Matte so it doesn’t enhance texture? Thank you 🙏
I have dry skin. If you had to choose Fenty in the pan or stick, which do you think would be the best choice? Ease of use is most important… I’m a newb LOL
Sunscreen is the reason I've avoided creamy bronzer. Buffing it around can rub off and ruin the sunscreen underneath. Please let me know if you have any advice on this!
@@mizshellytee Lab Muffin Science has videos on this, and says you should wait at least 20 mins, so I've got that part down. The issue is how to apply the bronzer itself without excessive buffing, which is hard to do with cream products
@@28Yasmina I recommend stippling and bouncing motions rather than buffing! A stipple brush or a good sponge will help, as well as finding an easy to work with formula!
Do you consider more liquid-y bronzer products under the umbrella of Cream Bronzer or do they stand in their own category? I'm thinking the new bronzers from glossier or kvd as well as older liquid bronze products like those from bare minerals, chanel, or lancome. Any tips on application since the texture is very different from their stiffer, creamier counterparts?
check out today's video- i'm talking about 4 different liquid formulas! Also as for liquid textures, a stipple brush or dry sponge is my preferred method. That goes for all liquid/thinner/stiffer textures!
I'm a little confused because I have both the Fenty stick and Mario sticks. I thought these were listed as contours. If they work as bronzer as well, I will definitely try it out.
Dear Amanda, this Elf stipple brush is discontinued, would something like It cosmetics dual or Hourglass dual brushes work for cream bronzer?:) thank you!
Excellent overview. I am always looking for a pink-based bronzer. When you showed the first 3 bronzers, what was the brand and shade of the pinker one on the right? Thank you in advance
I have struggled for years with blush. I just can't find a color that i feel looks natural on me. Maybe i should try a bronzer but i am terrified of them because i don't want to look orange. Finding my undertones has been a challenge. Folks at Sephora told me i'm neutral with a slight pink undertone. I tan easily. Ugh. Makeup is hard 🙂
I’ve tried the Fenty and Tarte ones multiple times, and they just disappear so quickly on my skin. It happens with cream blushes too. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I don’t know why I keep trying. I love your eye look.
Super late to this video so you probably won’t see this comment, but if on the off chance you do: flower beauty blush bomb in cinnamon is a great pinky bronzer for our fair skin tone

I got one a few months after watching one of Amanda's favorites videos and I love it. Its my favorite cream bronzer in the summer.
