@@MsMingazsome people have a high metabolism?? also its really not that many high calorie foods. just because she eats the normal amount of calories a day doesnt mean she eats “so many high calorie foods” it means she knows how to balance what food she eats and she has a good relationship with food. she probably exercises too and even if she didnt her body just works like that and she probably has a high metabolism (shes blessed)
I used to hate coconut stuff too when I was a kid, but as an adult, Almond Joys are in my top three, and the Caramel Delights (Somoas) cookies are my favorite Girl Scout Cookies. Same thing with dark chocolate too haha

As for dark chocolate, I grew a fondness for it later on in life, but that’s probably because most of the milk chocolate I used to eat are now too sweet for me.
I feel the coconut one - somehow not a fan of dessicated coconut mixed into chocolate desserts and sweets 😞 fresh and the kind found in kuih/kueh are tasty, but the ones hiding together with chocolate aren't my cup of tea, and its texture is quite distinct, which makes it hard to close one eye to continue eating

If you want to bump up the flavor of dark chocolate, pairing it with fruits is my fave combo. Especially strawberries. The bitterness of the chocolate paired with the sweet and slightly sour strawberry is so so good. Also, oranges and dark chocolate is also a combo people sleep on. :3
As a Nordic, I feel like I have to comment on this: our licorice is very different than the junk they sell in other countries. It does not have that nasty bitterness to it, it is soft and quite mild even (varies of course). It's not dry either!
There is better quality black licorice in the us too, twizzlers is a cheap candy brand. But I definitely enjoyed black licorice when I went to Denmark and Finland! I had some delightful chocolate licorice and salty licorice in Denmark.
Good quality licorice tastes kinda like coffee mixed with chocolate and salt to me but also has an earthiness and herbal aroma to it. I really liked it when i was in sweden
It's nice seeing someone give food they don't like another chance. I've never been a picky eater, but there were definitely some foods I didn't enjoy that much when I was younger, but now they're some of my favorites. Sometimes you just need to try an ingredient prepared in a different way.

I personally also like dark chocolate a lot because the more dark it is, in my opinion, it just tastes more natural and great. I agree with the part of how chocolates under 70% can be too sweet because I can't taste a lot of the bitter flavour.

I don't know if you know but Hershey's has the Special Dark Cocoa powder. I use it in place of the regular Cocoa powder. Oatmeal Boil Cookies are so much more fudgy and rich without being too sweet.
The least favorite foods for me are cantaloupe, onions, cilantro, garlic, sea food, (except salmon and cod) and sweet potatoes. Everything else I love tho!! I share some of my fruits and vegetables with my Guinea pig, Cookie! ☺️

You can try to cook squashes not only by simply frying them, but also by rolling them in flour mixed with salt and seasonings! It's very tasty, my mom cooks it every fall when squashes grow up enough💕
As a southern born kid here, you have to do a flour, egg, breaded dredge on the squash, season and fry. That’s how they taste the best and also you you can get through eating like thirty bushels of them in summer so 😂

the video before this was a guy teaching that, to eat raw onions and actually enjoy it, you just have to put them in a bowl with water and ice and leave it for 20 minutes. it’s not gonna be spicy and pungent like before, and the crunch is crazy. so much better for burguers, salads or whatever 😊

To get rid of bitterness from veggies, you can cover them with salt and let them sit and then rinse the salt out.
