I don't understand why they charge 2000 per visit. I think we go there for pilgrimage not as a tourist. What if we start charging fee to all the bhutanese when they travel to India for pilgrimage. . At least treat buddhist people alike. Just a thought. Charging fees to visit a temple does not seems right. This should be addressed to the concerned authorities.

You should have visited central part of Bhutan. Bumthang Tourist destination and lots of Guru Rinpoche monasteries, 1st,2nd and 3th king palace’s 🇧🇹
