I love how the guy is sporting a gw5600 while working on a 9k watch. My sub is past due for the 10year service but my AD said it's better to wait until it stops. Outta all my Rollie's, I sport an older sub date because of all the memories attached to it. Great vid.
I’m not sure waiting until it stops is a good idea! That sounds like damage to me. Ideally, get it on a timegrapher and see if the amplitude is borked. Dry oils and such could cause a bigger repair bill in the long run..
Watching you dismantle the watch is both satisfying and nostalgic watching you break the watch apart in a neat and orderly fashion truly puts my mind at ease
i know there is a lot of people wanna see a zoomed in version but for me i love this. is you are going to take apart a rolex you know sop i am more intrested in hand motions and postioning of the components, angles of hand positions witch was most useful to do sop efficiently and with the correct result. thank for the vid cheers
I disagree. I've been following this hobby for a month, and this is the first time I've been able to understand the truly microscopic scale of those screws. Macro lenses are overused. UA-camrs should take notes from filmmakers, establishing shots work wonders for context. Great video, thanks.
Can i ask im tring to buy a microscope and have seen the model you are using would you recommend it for the price or do you have anything you dont like about it hope you can help
Honestly best ASMR I’ve seen. You did an amazing job. Don’t listen to all these crybabies wanting close ups haha.! Keep making more of these videos.!!!! Thank you.!
Very frustrating, it’s like watching a photo out of focus, when you know there is something interesting going on there yet you can’t see it. There is an urgent need for close ups.
Sweet video! Some really good music would have been nice. Some good house music or trance. I really appreciate this video. You have nice skills. Thank you!
Nice that you tried to do it, but with no commentary or even music, is was very dull to watch. As others have said, some close ups would have been interesting and commentary brings it to life and offers an opportunity to educate further. Look at the work from Marshall @wristwatch revival for inspiration.
Only have one complaint other than that it was great. I was relaxed until I'm assuming your wife in the back round using the microwave and dishes and banging and clanging around. Other than that it was a good video.
The anxiety I felt when he puts those TINY bits onto the wood grain table and they disappear. I wouldn’t try to disassemble my $500 Marathon let alone a $10k+ Sub.
👏 You can find the article for the video here: www.chrono24.com/magazine/watchmaker-robert-weiss-on-the-rolex-submariner-a-really-cool-overall-package-p_83662/
This is for amateurs. No real Watchmaker would ever put parts like that just for a photo op if you making videos to help people how to work on Watches do not do this
God tier watch on watchmakers wrist.
Is that you Nico?
Casio G-Shock DW-5600. A true classic, just like the Submariner/Submariner Date.
PS - Some could argue, both have the most historical prominence as well as recognition. True passion that only us watch geeks could recognize.
I like seeing a Rolex being repaired by a watch repair wearing a G-Shock it's humbling
god tier watch

@@a-shaw-photo I agree. That's stupid advice. Get it serviced (minus the polishing) every 5-10 years if you want it to last...
Needs much more up close photography
totally agree! Next time we will do it better! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

gw5000 - god tier watch
Enjoyed the video. Please do it again but use a quality macro lens and get in close so we can actually see what is going on!
Thank you for this video. I was able to repair my Canon pinion as the minute hand was slipping. Thank you so much for this. elaborate video.
Wow, the level of skill is unreal.
Good idea. Poor production/filming. The point of watching a disassemble of a watch video is to see the details closely. Otherwise it’s a bit useless.
Noted!
If you hadn't noticed in the title, it says ASMR and there are great sounds in this vid but I also like the visuals. So, it isn't useless to some.
dude this is an asmr video bro made good sounds that’s all we care about

That’s the one I have. Brilliant to see inside it 👍
Rocking that DW5600 while opening up a Rolex, that is class.
Thank you for this it's very interesting to see!
The pre ceramic Submariner will always be the best.Todays monsters are to top heavy and attract to much dangerous attention.
Was that a ceramic sub?
this is art !
Awesome now I don’t have to disassemble my watch to see what is inside of it 🤙🏽
I must also comment on the beauty worn, appears to be a GShock dw5600?
Can i ask im tring to buy a microscope and have seen the model you are using would you recommend it for the price or do you have anything you dont like about it hope you can help
The microscope is from SWIFT. Hope this helps you!
What is the black plastic looking pry bar tool. It looks like it says Bailey on it. Does anyone know?
7:44 did someone just take a piss in the background? Lol

You guys have a lot of catching up to do compared to other watchmaker UA-camrs. Keep improving.

G-Shock spotted!

NO IT WOULD NOT!
Nice

Not great to see watches wound backwards, except for fine setting of the time.
Why the 10 individual finger condoms and not just gloves?
Guess you don't know how much and fast you start sweating in full gloves, so the fingertip gloves are much better for work like this 😊
Why silence bar background noise, poor sorry. And I’ve never seen anyone let the second move while removing other parts, good luck with that. Odd.
You sound upset at this video 🤷😆
S A T I S F Y I N G
ref?
Glossy dial, pre-ceramic, white gold surrounds on hour markers, date function. Looks like a 16610.

Never understood why people wear gloves when they are just gonna put it in a cleaner.
For grip
Need to 3x or 5x Zoom.
Who is banging about in the background! Get a macro.
Thumbs up for the finger condoms.
bist du nur ein youtube odeer zertifizierter rolex mechnic
Can’t see shiet
Phist

Also do not work on a black mat
Wtf are you talking about? "would ever put parts like that just for a photo op" - What does this even mean? lol
Questo è un maniscalco...
Ads in an ASMR video don’t really work bud
