excellent vlog, I hope next year to stay in Brooklyn for a few days as 6 years ago we stayed in Manhattan, I feel it would be so much nicer to enjoy the views across day and night, so this was lovely to see, thank you for sharing.

Luca is *SO* cute! (Jackson, you’re cute too.)😁 I live in California, but have loved my visits to NYC and Brooklyn. Loved the Sketchbook Project when it was at the Brooklyn Art Library years ago. So I so look forward to armchair traveling in NY with your vlogs. They (and you) are just delightful. Btw, can you ask your sister if those Ganni flats she bought are comfortable for walking? I’m thinking of getting a pair for an upcoming trip to London.
She said they're comfortable but definitely need a little bit of breaking in!

it was really fun! I always forget how relaxing a focused creative activity can be and it was lovely chatting with the instructor while doing it :)

I loved this video, Chantal. Thanks! It makes me think about trying to go to Brooklyn if I get back to New York next year.(I'm nervous of the subway). I want to get my nails done at that neat nail place - non-toxic pretty nails and coffee and wine? Yes please:) A lot of nice cafes/food places too - breakfast bagels etc. You've also influenced me to look for that lip oil! :) Watching from Nova Scotia :)

Do you feel safe in Brooklyn? I'm looking for accommodation for my next trip to NYC and I was thinking about Brooklyn, because the first time in NYC I was only near the bridge and didn't see much. While googling, I found a lot of disturbing information that Brooklyn is worse than other districts in terms of crime, but I would prefer to confirm this with a person who actually lives there :) (we know how many bad things you can read on Google and many are untrue :P) I will be grateful for advice
There are many different neighborhoods in Brooklyn with varying crime rates. So where in Brooklyn? Many tourists choose to stay in Williamsburg where there are lots of hotels and is very safe. There are a few dangerous neighborhoods in Brooklyn like Canarsie and East New York, but she doesn’t film videos there. The areas she shows are very safe.

@@elasoj Park Slope is a beautiful safe area. It is a bit more family oriented with married people and children, not as many cool bars and restaurants as Williamsburg. Park Slope is near the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park and the Botanical Gardens. It just depends what you are into, are you more of a trendy party person or a laid back person. Park Slope is a bit further from Manhattan on the subway, Williamsburg is only 1 stop away.

Love and second all of the above! I feel very safe in the neighborhoods I film, and I've actually stayed in Williamsburg before on a little staycation -- the vlog is here: ua-cam.com/video/rMRtAL3I-sc/v-deo.html (a few years ago when the Arlo Hotel was still the Williamsburg hotel!). It's great because you can get to Manhattan easily from the L, you're on the east river ferry line if you want to take it to Dumbo or Greenpoint, and it is full of good food and shopping.
