Since I transitioned to all Cerave, my skin has been transformed! For a couple years I was using all Kiehls, Sunday Riley, other trendy brands and my skin was AWFUL. I switched to Cerave and my skin is so happy!
Your best video by far. You are giving very mature opinion about fashion and I am here for it. I did also learn about my style fairly early into my introduction to fashion houses and I cannot agree with you more.
omggg we have so many similar opinions on these!! especially slg. I also regret having so many slg. I would collect every shape, colour, design etc. and end up piling up in my wardrobe. in the end I only use one 😆 and also I agree with everything you said! I have fomo too for limited edition. but I had to admit, I'm just a basic girl. I like everything plain & simple. something practical
We agree on living the understated! So glad to hear you say this. My fave is an addidas comfy jogger set with my LV black mini capucines or Chanel half moon woc. Live live neutral bags.
Totally agree. I live in Brazil and luxury hand bags here costs equivalent to a car. But I found a Lady Dior Promenade limited edition in black with a flower embroidered so so beautiful and affordable that I couldn’t resist! Actually it was the only one that I could afford (bc it’s not trendy). 😅 I also both once a Chanel powder bc of the packaging with a mirror, but it’s now my forever purse mirror. I tried a Dior lipbalm bc of the packaging too but I’m not willing to buy it again, not so worth it.
I agree with all of these points! I started collecting in 2014 but I made the same mistake of buying all canvas LV lol I ended up selling 90% of my LV collection and now my collection is mostly leather from various brands! I was also buying branded cosmetics and skincare but now I mostly support Indie brands. Goyard totes are beautiful but the canvas is very thin and the glaze on the straps melts / stains. Lots of defects on the tote for some reason. 💙 Hyram is awesome and helped me fix my skin too. ❤ I hope you find a great jeweler near you!
sunglasses! i used to have a ton of sunglasses, but i realized i only need a few that i really reach for. they can be super expensive for like no reason imo!
I lost a pair of Chanel glasses replaced with another pair and accidentally left those on a plane. Decide I was done with designer sunnies. So many other nice ones out there that are not designer and that I will not freak out if I lose😬
So true! SLGS are one to never buy multiples. I do think LV coated canvas SLGs are worth it, but you only need one or two. I use my Fendi keyholder everyday and my LV kirigami mini card holder everyday. I have a few others with metal embellishments (one from YSL and one from Dolce and Gabanna with the devotion heart on it) and the metal details will scratch the leather interior of my bags so I stopped using them except in fabric lined bags or with a bag organizer. They are not practical.
In my experience leather doesn’t hold up the way canvas does. I have multiple LV canvas bagas and they all look brand new. The leather ones not so much.
About the jewelry: I try to invest in vintage high brand jewelry; The example you gave on the tiffany ring, try to find something like that in vintage.
I love limited edition - dont get me wrong, it's not like I buy tons of it, but I love having something that's not ubiquitous. I'm that person that if something is all over social media, I get over saturated and I'm not interested, even if it fits perfectly with my style. The worst of it is, things that get overexposure on social media, are necessarily everywhere IRL. In a way most seasonal pieces (clothes and bags) are limited edition, just not necessarily a small production run. Conversly I don't mind my basics being produced year after year - they're the building blocks, and in themselves a bit anonymous, and that's fine because a big logo has always been a turn off for me - with one exception, which is the gucci ophidia range, specifically with the blue and red webbing - it's all about the colourway with a tiny bit of nostagia thrown in as I had the Eau du Gucci perfume from years ago and the packaging was the blue and red. To be true to my style I haven't bought a bag, but I did manage to source a gucci webbing belt with minimal branding and a scarf (less minimal branding, but still not too much) - both on the preloved market (sort of feeds in to my love of not everyone having the same things, as I've yet to see someone in either of these items either IRL or social media.) I love the ordinary - affordable and effective - means I have more money for a beautiful (non branded) quality cashmere sweater!
I took the lock off my YSL SDJ not because of the look but have seen it can damage the bag! You don't need all those charm things (even though they look so cute). Bags with nice profiles and cuts will always look nice with "less".
I just got a kelly pocket in Nata but mainly because I really want a mini kelly or kelly 25 in Nata and settled for the SLG for the time being 😂 I can’t deny that it is stunning though!
I agree with everything you said! The only logos I am into are turnlock CCs. 😃 However! Yesterday I got a Neverfull mm in monogram empriente bicolor in rose trianon and creme. I think the large logos are playful with the pink color, but I am concerned about looking like a pretentious fool. I know it is all in the attitude, but I am trying to decide if I should keep it or not.
Hi Lou! I hope you are well? I am the same when it comes to luxury skincare and makeup.. I have found such great skincare items especially from brands called Medik8 and Peter Thomas Roth.. I think the only high end makeup brands I will always buy from is Tom Ford sometimes Chanel 💙💙
I'm not heavily into luxury jewellery either, unless it's a jewellery brand. Although i made an exception for an hermes ring...you're right, we can't trust ourselves 😅
Great video. I agree with u. I will still get canvas bags though (not as many as leather bags) mainly because we cannot use leather bags in rainy weather etc. re: slg, i have a question. I am eyeing nice vanity cases/toiletry cases. Do u think i should get them or save the money for bags.
I think this is great! I am a very minimalistic person. I like the simple things in life. But I do like my simple chanels etc. But simple! You should add the financial end of it. Like saving 7,000 on a bag and investing it in a beautiful piece of high end jewelry! Have a great day!!
My signature fragrance is Chanel Chance eau de toilet. It is so worth it because a little goes a long way. And I can get it at a good price, tax free, at the military exchange. However, I still would buy it full price if I had to.
Hi Lou Love your videos! For some reason you newest upload I couldn’t comment. Luxury promise has a yellow mini rectangle classic! It is calling your name. I got the blue green one because of you! Love your videos! ❤
your thoughts on luggage is the same thoughts that i have when it comes to travel backpacks. i would rather go for tumi and northface than buy their collabs with gucci or those made by lv. there's a reason why they are good what they do and wearing designer backpacks is just not worth it for a backpacker.
I feel like within 5 years youre going to realize that Hermes marketing is #fomo and you'll make a video about that 😆 Exclusivity is their strategy. Same idea as the balenciaga shoes. Fantastic quality, but they're not the ONLY quality bag on the market. Yet your entire collection and wish list is hermes and Chanel. You've just elevated your #fomo and I'm not sure you've realized it yet 🤔
I think you care too much about others opinions. No one else matters except for YOU and the people AROUND YOU. People are jealous and they project that onto you. Try to build up your self confidence ❤
I would never buy designer clothes. I prefer to buy cheaper brands in the style. 🫣 But I agree with almost all points, except SLG. I love SLG in any color and like to change them out often depending on my mood. 🥰

I switched my Husband from Kiehl's to Cerave and all the blackheads on his nose are gone. He's very happy about it lol
Same, I found out all the high brands skins products were giving me allergy. My skin is much better now!
@@Ya-co9gg it’s because of the fragrance 🤍 you may react to it, so fragrance free is probably the way to go!

for a design house with a very impressive history, i have unfortunately not found the goyard quality matches

Would you go for a Herbag from Hermes? It's a canvas bag... just curious of your opinion on it..

I have to day makeup can be worth it for very specific products, but skin care? I don’t feel like it’s worth it other than packaging 🤷🏼♀️
@@JesuisLou I Know! I do love Chanel packaging and use one of their cleansers, but apart from that I'm a Tom Ford girl for sure!🥰😊
Yeah designer skincare is totally unnecessary. Peter Thomas Roth are great ;)
Chanel did a leather keep all if you can find one preloved

Spiritual Gloss is the jewellery brand she was talking about with the diamond ring

Who?
YOU ARE TOO YOUNG FOR BAGS LIKE THESE. HAVING MONEY DOESN'T MEAN YOU MUST BUY EVERYTHING THAT IS EXPENSIVE. HOWEVER, YOUR ADVICES ARE SMART
