Odwira is a Festival Celebrated by the people of Akuapem, it is Celebrated by all the Various Towns in the Akuapem North District the Finally Climax it at Akropong where the Other Divisional Chiefs will join the Paramount Chief to Celebrate and Swear Oath of Allegiance to him and Usher in a new Yam. I wonder why we have been performing these rituals and still we live in poverty. After all these rituals poverty is killing us. I think we need a new direction. To come think of what am watching what is the outcome of this ? What is the secret here ? None . The whole world can see you clearly . Some of your rituals must be behind close doors. Looking at these strong men on the street many can be farmers or other professionals that can development to the economy. We have too much time in our hands that is being wasted. Let us think of how to put these strong men to work. Many years ago these festivals are celebrated by elderly people. But these days many are the youth. Why ? Because there is no job for them. Create jobs for the youth.
This is my opinion.
