      @sportosp-0158 4 роки тому

      Funny that you say that because the very next day I decided to listen to something other than talk radio and I literally heard this on the local rock station haha... Glad that I got to react to it first but, it is getting a lot of radio play. It is not the song, nor the band's fault, that most of the radio stations out there stink. Ours here happen to be crappy, and play this song quite a bit now that I'm listening for it. It is what it is. Roll your eyes as you'd like but, it is a fact.

    • @Mahunashizzle
      @Mahunashizzle 4 роки тому +13

      @@sportosp-0158 it's less about whether or not the radio plays the song, it's the implication that if the radio plays the song, it must be bad. Just goes to show even metalheads have their hipsters.

      @@Mahunashizzle Well, you clearly saw that I liked the song. But, let's face it; the music that is marketable for mass consumption nowadays sounds very similar to this formula in a lot of ways. It is unfortunate if a good song goes overlooked because someone chooses to ignore it just because it's on the radio but, I'm not one of those people as you can tell. This song did stand out to me among all the others which is what led me to making the comments in the video that I did.

    The chorus/hook is supposed to be the repetitive part so I guess I'm not quite understanding why that's an issue. From a song writing and structure aspect, I think it's a pretty solid formula myself. But I like to write catchy, digestable music myself. I like a simpler style verse to lure them in with the story, smack them with a catchy hook, and then when we get to a breakdown or something heavier in the song then that's where we really drive the musicality side home.
    Good review.

    Also the bald dude idk his name he's kinda in a completely different area of focus this song isn't about being heavy or being catchy this song and Losing My Mind and Losing My Life are to spread a message about Ronnie Radkes past and how he's moved on from it and people always bring it up makes him mad

    • @sirundying

      its not about making him mad or ppl bringing that shit back all the time. i think its more his own therapy of dealing with who he is and how ppl see him ( popular icon, an idol for many ( and for different reasons for ppl )). also the way he bring the subject of his daughter often i also think its his way of telling her his mistakes so that when she grow older and start reading those lyrics she will really see how he felt etc etc.

    You know, for the life of me I just can never understand the whole "this sounds radio" argument. I mean in a lot of ways it's a compliment really. That's pretty much just saying anyone can listen to it no matter what your genre is and it'll sound good. It almost sounds like a copout to be honest lol it's like saying "man I really don't want to like this but I kind of do", I don't think it's doing the artist, or music in general, any justice. Also I completely agree with the guy on the left personally on just about everything he said, and I appreciate the honesty of the guy on the right and glad he did find it to be mostly enjoyable.

    I think that the big guy didn’t have the most open mind with this song, not by choice, but because he’s used to liking a certain genre and sound. We tend to shut down once we don’t hear what we typically find appeasing, nothing major. I will say that as artist, what we strive for is to : a) make music that makes up happy b) make music that others would like c) make music that can sell and d) take the listener on an emotional journey. A full serious tone would be very generic and one tone, I believe that the changes from verse to pre chorus to chorus etc. is what give the listener that journey through sound and allows all types of people to enjoy this music.

    I wish more people would mention Willow in these videos, because I feel like she's such a huge significance to the video. :3

    Tom MacDonald sounds like Ronnie Radke! Ronnie has been in the games for years back to his Escape The Fate days.

      I definitely thought the same thing. I can't remember if I said in the video or not and I refuse to go back and watch myself. But, yeah. I agree with you either way

    Guys stay true to your opinion even though I personally love the song, this is only a reaction and if you don't like it that's how you feel. I've watched alot of reaction videos and every one gives me something different from the song and how different people react to them but honestly I loved he reaction guys 👌🤘👍

    The comment about conforming to other's expectations (or becoming a zombie) seems kind of ironic given the lyrics of the new song by FIR, "Zombified".

    I have never been a big fan of rap, but the way Ronnie does it with the music in the background helped a lot. As for the chorus, it is a chorus, it is supposed to be done more than once. I do agree I wish the heavier breakdown part had been a little bit longer and that a guitar had made more of an appearance. But, all in all I love the song. You really should watch the three before this IN ORDER, "Loosing My Mind", "Loosing My Life" & "Drugs". All four of these tell an ongoing story.

    Nice reaction, thanks. In my opinion if the intensity continuous through the whole song ( or many songs after each other), it start missing its effects. Falling in reverse is incredible good in landing different music genres, styles, singing techniques etc, that makes songs not monotonical and similar. I love their versatility.

    I praise you guys for being honest 🤟 I hope Ronnie Radke would react to this! He had a stream where he reacted to bunch of people who reacted on this song, and though most of em liked it, he still tried to find negative reactions or criticisms. You guys have appreciated the song and gave criticisms and suggestions on it too, and he wants hear things like this for him to improve himself. I mean, I don't want to assume that, that was his purpose for searching criticisms, but that's what I think he always do.

    It's actually a sad song 😢, The part where Ronnie said. "We're falling apart." really makes everyone heart's break.

      Just a heads up. He says "I break down, falling into love now with falling apart" not we're falling in love. Its about him. Not a group of people.
