nice to know i can go for a decent trunk line when purchasing and not have to worry so much about the nebari being perfect.
love the way edited this video, keep doing good stuff I really like it
The music is always a joy...🦋
Very nice bonsai
Hello i’am coming
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Mantap mantap bonsainya
Bom dia, Flor do dia!
awesome idea.
Oh! I've not seen this method of air layering where you bury the whole plant deeper. I've only done the thing where you wrap some moss around the cut. This seems like less hassle
Similar method to ground layering, in which a branch is buried to grow new roots
Thanks for sharing this!
My favorite channel
can you do this with oak tree ?
This video keeps refreshing as unavailable in my country (US).
In my watch later it has the “private” message blocking the video.
I have no vpn or anything like that. Just so you know UA-cam seems to be acting up...
I love your work
Wow amazing
I don't know why air layering would improve that tree. It already had nice proportions and base.
Currently, the bottom branch is too high.
The biggest drawback of this tree.
To improve it.

@@bonsai-shinshi Thanks for explaining. I disagree though. The first branch was a little more than a 3rd of the way up. Many trees look like this in the wild. You could also have corrected the issue by growing the apex of the tree a little higher to change the proportions. Completely your choice though.
Agreed but there are two movements now . Trees of the traditional bonsai aesthetic and the more naturalistic approach.
@@peterboneg be a little more humble ... a Japanese teacher has taken the time to explain to you. Not everything is relative
@@sebollin I think I was quite polite. I thanked him for the explanation. If we can't ask these kind of questions or disagree then no one learns much. If someone puts content like this online then that automatically makes it open to debate.
Brazil love bonsai
Great video 👍👍
Would you be able to explain what you were doing carving the trunk? I'm assuming you parted it deeper so that new roots would Sprout from that area
I'm certainly no expert but the circling of the trunk would have the same result as air layering, where roots would sprout just above the top of the cut - an emergency measure in plants that allows it to survive. The objective I'd assume is to make the tree look older - low branches and a thicker trunk has an aged appearance, which is what Bonsai aims to achieve.
Cara perawatan yang bagus
Awesome job on a hinoki. How long should it be in the pot for new roots to grow? Thanks for sharing
How is it now? Genki desuka
Will that cut part root?
Very nice brother...

Nice
one of my favourite cypress species, thanks for the nice footage :)
Good 👍
Good
How wonderful ❤️❤️❤️
nice👍
Beats me too, air layering at that shohin bonsai height would not provide results desired.

Exciting! Thank you for sharing. Did you use root hormone or any moss? I'd like to try this.
石化檜香港のような暑い気候に住むことができますか? 高温多湿の気候で健康を維持するためのアドバイスはありますか?
I don't understand why you air layered such a short tree? It looked proportional to me.
I haven't watched the whole video yet.but what does this do?
WTF! If you can't even see the entire video, get out of here! someone else has to see the video for you, come on!
Lindo árbol en bonsai!
SO he's layering to turn that into 2 bonsai, not to grow a new base?
Ingin belajar
What is the name of this plant? Very beautiful bark, and small leaves!
@@bonsai-shinshi Thanks for the answer. I thought it was a cypress tree, but I haven't seen one like it yet!
What did he do to that metal wires in that container.whats the used and benifits of that??
It looks to small to be air layering plus all the cambium layer is gone how on Earth will it supply water to itself?
loosely speaking, the cambium layer supplies hormones and other tissues transport water.
👍👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏 keren mantap❤️❤️❤️
Can you send seeds? 😭😍😍
Ohhh he's making a SMALLER TREE 🌲. SILLY ME 😸 SOOOO SORRY, IM DEFO A BIT SLOW. ? X
Is there a follow up of this tree?
This tree is a friend's tree, so it's unclear if I can take a video of the work.
The tree is fine.
I made a video about 3 months ago.
👍👍👍video
What does air layering mean? What are you trying to do master?
He is trying to make the tree look old
Air layering brings roots to the where where the cut is made
Did he just kill the first tree? :)
Why ruin the tree? It has amazing proportions...
Ummm did I miss something 🧐 I see him cutting around tree , then scrapping soil away at base. Ohhh Hess back ,,sorry he he
Thank you.
As the growth on a tree is ever changing, so to must the care taker change to meet the new demands.
Will that original root back bud after this procedure? That would be nice.
how long does it take normally to root?
@@bonsai-shinshi wow they don't grow fast. I have 1 I want to multiple. They are so beautiful
maybe it looked better before
Ngk bisa bhs inggris
Why did he circumcise that first tree?
This is because the position of the bottom branch is too high.
I either make the tree taller or make it smaller with layering.
But,but, but, that was a beautiful tree.. Why did you layer that at all? 😟
@@bonsai-shinshi perhaps, but was it worth sacrificing that beautiful taper?
@@thepecha7 I guess it's a matter of personal taste and market value of the tree. I personally was horrified seeing that beautiful tapered trunk and that beautiful nebari being destroyed. But that is just my personal opinion. 😊
Very interesting, I did not know this was possible on Hinoki. I will try on a tree that has an ugly graft. Thanks.
非常に興味深いことに、これがヒノキで可能だとは知りませんでした。醜い接ぎ木がある木を試してみます。ありがとう。
