Art Journaling for Beginners using Stabilo Woodys

- Today I have a new art journaling tutorial to share. It's super easy and perfect for beginners. I played in my squar watercolor journal using Stabilo Woodys and collaging. All stamps are from Rubber Dance. Unfortunately I missed recording the short part where I added the grid texture. I did this with black ink in a few areas. The grid stamp is on the mixed media marks stamp set.

Very pretty....but, I really loved that watercolour flower on the book page and most of the way through, I felt it was getting lost and then you covered it all together. Just my opinion of course.

Very nice!! I see many use a heat tool instead of a hairdryer .. is there a particular reason for this? Because for watercolor is't not recommended because the heat can destroy the sizing of the paper, but I understand that's not an issue with acrylic’s on gesso?
What the size of paper can I use with gesso or woody colors?? 😌
I have been trying to look for the beautiful glitter colour you added to the butterfly, but can't seem to find it among the Rembrandt paints. Do you know what it's called and what brand it is?
On that note, can I please ask about that flower? Did you paint it directly on the book page or is it a transfer or photocopy? I’d love to know how I can accomplish it without rippling the book page (with water).
It's painted directly on the page. I have learned, that it depends on the paper if it works good or not. This one was not that great, but I have some that are working really awesome.
This is so beautiful and inspiring. Do the Woody's need to be set or do they not transfer to another page once dry?
