Hello dear
I’m just seeing this now.
In such case, look for the grainline or crease line of your trouser( midpoint of the crotch line,(not crotch extension)).
Then input your knee circumference divide by 4( mark the result on each side of the lines(crease line)
From there (the knee circumference) you can mark the 1”

Hi your video was really helpful. Do you have any suggestions on how to take crotch measurements for people who prefer low waist trousers or people who prefer their trouser to rest on their natural waist line instead of above it

You’ll apply the same method.
To make it easier,
Tie an elastic around the side you want to wear the trouser and then, take your hip depth.
Then follow the other steps exactly.
Or better still when you’re sewing, at the in seam line, you can sew with 1 inche or more till you get your desired fittings,
The con here is that, the crotch might not seat well.

What made us high waist.
Anything on your navel is a palazzo already.
If you want it to be above, start taking your measurements from there.
