Are shashtri sangeet and gurmat sangeet same?
I think prof surinder Singh more superior to sing in gurmat with rabab and old instrument.
His all words clear to listen.

Professor surinder Singh is a joke lol, he knows about real gurbani Sangeet. Surinder Singhs rabab isn't the real Sikh rabab (according to multiple true scholars of gurbani Sangeet) yet he thinks it is. This is nothing like shastri Sangeet trust me, Bhai sahib jis singing here have extensively studied both and know how to keep them seperate and what the differences are

The question really is what is Shashtri Sangeet. Music based on Shashtars however it is a science and techniques. For example singing Raag Des and Gurbanis Raag Sorath you must know this science on how to sing them apart. If your attempting to sing Gurbanis raag Sorath and empahasize on the gandhar even by mistake you are then singing Raag Des instead of the Sorath. So yes in Gurmat Sangeet the science behind this would still apply. Bhai Saab ji are singing a specific style they have learnt from many ustads but they keep Gurbani foremost before the music. Prof Surinder Singh is good in is own way, they are all doing amazing Seva to revive this for of puraatan style kirtan.
