The following day I had a shower, washed my hair, went to the gym in completely different clothes as you may assume, and worked out for two hours. After that I had a massage with my physiotherapist. Well, a couple of days later he told me that he had to wash twice the towels he used during my treatment because my fragrance was still lingering 😮 There may be some alien ingredient in there and I’m scared 😂😂😂
Mr. To be honest with you, you are absolutely correct. After watching your first review i went on online and bought followed and one day i decided to wear it to work. I am a school Teacher. I was in the in the main office dowstairs and it was around 7:15 am both the assitant principal and the principal were entering the office as soon as they opened the door both said it smells like pancake here. Believe it or not the entire building, the elevators, and my classroom smell like maple syrup for days. I could not believe. The students kept saying in the Hall Hall way whats that smell it smells like maple syrup. I kept smiling and never said anything to them. Ever since i dont wear that fragrance to work anymore. This is my strongest fragrance in my entire collection.
I laughed all through this. You sounded incredulous the whole way through. Thanks for the public service announcement. Mace is illegal here in Australia, maybe I should get some Followed as an alternative. The police could track them down days later😄
Followed is legitimately the only fragrance I've experienced that will last MONTHS sprayed. Like when I walk by the storage pouch it comes with that I sprayed it on I can still smell it.
I know it is a long lasting fragrance. I am so glad to hear you say it! I have another perfume that is very long lasting, and that is: Tropical Wood, from Montale. Both of these perfumes are very different from one another, but they have one thing in common: the longevity! Having said that, I will have to agree with you: Followed is out of this world. In mid November I took receipt of my Kerosene order that included Followed. By late November it had arrived in time for me to wear it someplace that would solidify just how beastly this fragrance is. I needed to get new tires ahead of an annual vehicle safety inspection. It was a very cold day so figured Followed it is. I walked into the tire place about an hour after 2 sprays on my neck, one on either side, and was just immediately overwhelmed by the smell of pungent rubber. I was 3rd in line, a good ten feet away from the gentleman working the desk. After a few minutes I see him stop midstream of conversation with the person at the sales counter. He looked confused and suddenly said “all I can smell is coffee and maple syrup, do you smell that?” And about 5 others chimed in that’s all they could smell also. I agreed so as not to out myself as the coffee and syrup bandit. Later that evening, about 13 hours later, I was found out. I’d returned to pick up my car and as soon as I walked in those 2 sprays from 14 hours earlier elicited the question “all I can smell suddenly for the second time today is coffee and maple syrup… is that you?” For the rest of the winter, all I could smell when I’d grab my parka to take my dog out was… Followed. It followed everywhere I wore it… and I just checked and it still follows on my parka… from the one time wearing Followed on my neck, and then wearing that coat it has remained as the 6 month mark approaches. Wowza.
I just ordered the sample size, so excited for it to come! 😁 A lot of people are saying it smells like a caramel macchiato or maple syrup. I'll have to remember to spray it outdoors!
I can see the caramel macchiato Idea but I never have them myself so can't say for sure but makes total sense. Yes spray outdoors cause once it goes on your clothes it's there for a while. :)
My favorite cold-weather fragrance is Broken Theories. Doesn't get much attention compared to even other stuff from Kerosene, but that's fine with me since I like wearing stuff other people don't wear.
I adore Kerosene. they are one of my favorite houses because no one does dark, almost gothic type scents quite like he does. Fields of Rubus, Blackmail, Broken Theories, Sacred Memory, and R'Oud Elements are all so good. I stayed away from this one, though, because I did not care for the original Follow. It just smelled like pure espresso to me and while I do like coffee, I don't want to smell like pure coffee. I'm actually intrigued now that you have said this one is more about maple syrup because I was hearing mixed things. I'm going to have to try it now. I just have to see what it's like.

I gotta agree this thing is a beast. When I first tried I thought the performance was just fine, but not as strong as say blackmail when ive had it from them. But I guess that was some covid nose left overs for me still randomly making me dull to stuff, because I did a small spray from a sample recently, and that single spray from a sample last for days.
"Followed" is like that Seinfeld episode where Jerry's car gets attached by the valet drivers B.O. and it attaches itself to everyone who comes in contact with it!😅🤣

I think the ingredient might be Sotolon. I sprayed it on skin over the winter and it hadn’t completely dried before putting my coat on. I finally just recently noticed I was no longer getting whiffs of it on the coat a couple weeks ago. Man the stories with this fragrance! I love it…a glancing half spray gets me through the day. My coworkers like it but can smell it from a room away or tell when I’ve walked through a room within the last few minutes.
@@timbuk1126 The strongest concentration I found was 0.1% but I also found down to 0.003% percent dilusions. I just wonder how stong this would be in 10% concentration. Must be insanity! It changes its odor based on concentration. More curry in higher concentrations, more maple syrup in lower concentrations.
The longest lasting fragrances that I’ve ever met (and actually liked) are Terenzi Telea and LV Symphony. If you spray it on a jacket, you can smell it for a week. I had Telea on a tester card, which I placed on my nightstand. I think I could smell it all month long, from a couple feet away!
Followed should come with a warning on the bottle it's so strong. I wish a few of my favorite frags last half as long as this one, John Pegg needs to drop those secrets😉

I tried this at Mínistry of Scent and the sales person had to go outside to spray the test strip, otherwise it would have overpowered everything else. I got a sample and left it inside the plastic zip bag but I can still smell it whenever I open the drawer where I keep my samples. What is in this perfume?!
Curious to try it for sure, since again, I got some drops of Follow (not Followed) on a cotton towel I use as table top, and I could pick the smell from that spot literally even three months later. So I'd say Follow alone has a longevity much higher than any average/regular fragrances.
I had a sample of each they are the strongest I ever had , to sweet for me though . I would keep the samples doubled zip lock bagged and could still smell them when walking within 6 feet of them . Wish my TF Oud Wood was that strong 😊
I am trying to think if it is a good thing or a bad thing for a fragrance to be that potent. I guess “Followed” is a good name for this fragrance because it won’t stop following your jacket or your pants. We fragheads are never satisfied! We complain when a fragrance’s longevity is short and we complain when it is too long. I guess a happy medium is what we really want. I am curious to know what is in that fragrance to cause that smell to permeate the room and your clothes.
Followed is the only fragrance I’m ok with having in a dabber vial! Just a dab or two will do, not even a full spray if you only want to smell it for a day.
I had almost a similar experience with the older formulation of Portrait of a Lady, but I didn't mind it since it smelled so good. Sadly it got reformulated and now it's just a shadow of the original formulation.
Woow, It should come with a big warning sign! 😆So the applying procedure should be: Find a deserted place, get naked, spray away from you, walk into the cloud, wait two hours, get dressed and you're set, for a week! 😂 I love those notes so there's only one thing left for me to do... Alternative title for this video can be Followed: A Cautionary Tale. I love Kerosene, but I had a sample of this and it was overwhelming my whole apartment. I tend to prefer more intimate scents, and thought it was just me...but I could smell it on my boyfriend's jacket sleeve for WEEKS. Strongest fragrance I have ever experienced.
I recently did a sample haul, and guess what... Followed was amongst them and WOW! I had to throw it away because WHATEVER THIS JUICE TOUCHES WILL BE FOREVER SMELLING LIKE MAPLE SYRUP. Some people might enjoy this? I don't know 🤔🤷
Followed was the one fragrance I purchased that made me realize I am NOT a gourmand lover. It is as gourmand as it gets and as much as I love diners on a Sunday morning, coffee and maple syrup aren’t something I want to smell like for days and days. I sprayed this ONCE on a jacket of mine and even after washing it I couldn’t get the scent out. Nuclear performance to say the least.
This came back in stock after months of waiting, so I bought this straightaway along with other Kerosene samples after I got a call from the stockist. We’ve had very hot scorching weather here in the UK so goodness knows why I thought it’d be a good idea to buy this now. I just didn’t want to wait for months again when it’s going to be in demand towards autumn/winter, plus it’s on a reservation basis on waitlist. Sounds like this is going to be a one spray kind of fragrance, which is good for me as I don’t like it to necessarily be as potent (don’t like the term beast mode) but I like fragrances with longevity as my skin tends to eat up fragrance. I think one bottle will set me up for a very long time. Also looking forward to trying unknown pleasures, pretty machine, black vines and unforsaken.
Their fragrances must have great longevity, I only have the one, Sweetly Known - very unisex scent - and it last for days and days on my clothes as well. It’s not quite as long lasting as Followed seems to be … but it is definitely beast mode as well.

If you have ever had a dog get skunked, the scent will come out from their skin in the rain for months no matter how many times washed. Maybe they used a molecule from whatever causes that scent to persist for so long. Not suggesting Followed smells bad.
I know what you mean. I got a sample a few weeks ago and its been in the cupboard of my ensuite and I can smell it outside of the bedroom! Lucky I love it
100% agree, it is ridiculously potent. I think it might contain maple furanone (one of the strongest fragrant compounds ever created) which smells like fenugreek and maple syrup.
I have wanted to try this because I love their gourmands and I was going to specifically request another video on maple syrup fragrances I loved your one on osthmanus! I love strong projectors beast mode but that I can wash out don’t like skin scents
I'm not sure if this is a fair comparison but I had bought 5 ml sample of Roja Dove's U.A.E and wore some in the winter and inadvertently got some on my winter hat and then the weather got milder for a couple week stretch. I was surprised to see it was still present a few weeks later when the weather turned colder again. I laughed at your comment about people being turned off by how long their fragrance lasted and I thought that is the difference between you wearing a fragrance and the fragrance wearing you.
I feel like Followed is so strong that if you spray on clothes, you need to designate those close for this fragrance forever… because it’s never coming off lol
I've had that happen before! When fragrances rub off of clothing onto other clothing. 😄 Nothing with a maple syrup accord though. Certainly does make me wonder what John used.
I am finally actually getting comments on my perfume as I bought Followed because se of this video. No one has actually said I smell good or that is hey like the smell.
I've had it for 5 days, it's very powerful... just one spray lasts all day... I work in a supermarket and you can smell it everywhere!!😅 but everyone tells me that they smell the licorice and so do I!!
Had to get rid of this. There was no place I could store without smelling. It took over my closet, and lingered on my clothing for weeks. Too much. Also, the smell became like Indian food. It’s too much.
I had a similar experience with Unique'e Crush on Me - I could smell it on an item of clothing I hung up in my to go to cleaners section and forgot to take it to the cleaners for 6 months. I had to get rid of that fragrance. I usually love long-lasting "nuclear" frgarances but that one is just rude.
Unfortunately I bought this perfume, this fragrance was the worst I’ve ever had and it really lasts forever. Just use 2 sprays and you will smell fenugreek the whole week. I think this perfume contains a big amount of Sotolone (Caramel Furanone), which has a beast performance with caramel and fenugreek smell. I don’t recommend this perfume.
Got a sample of followed in the mail and sprayed it on my hand at 9am, after doing a lot of physical work, and a long shower, where i scrubbed my hand with soap for a good 20 seconds. Im still picking it up at 1am
Coffee is a tricky note, and coffee and maple hmm I dunno. I like ristrotto intense cafe but only because it smells like my Italian grandma’s kitchen during breakfast and I rarely wear it.
Dear Sebastian, I bought it back after watching one of your past videos and I realised that it is the most powerful fragrance in the world. I am pretty sure that there was no more powerful fragrance than it and will not be in the future such a powerful fragrance. I can smell it in my office three weeks after one spray. But unfortunately no body in my acquaintances liked the fragrance. My sons and my wife have stopped me from spray it and asked me not to respray. I have never been complimented about this fragrance. I looking for fragrance with such a performance (not gourmand). Please give me your thoughts about that. A lot advise me to buy Megamare from orto Parisi and I do so but it is a mess no body smell it on me or in my place

My nose is not very strong either so I like strong perfumes. I hope you get a chance to smell it! I also have Unknown Pleasures which is pretty strong too (but not Followed strong)
They change the formula, what you will get now it’s 2 hours after initial application of strong projection, after that it’s becoming a skin scent. 8h mark it’s gone.
Last week i did two sprays to work. Everyone asking smells like syrup. And my workplace smelled like 4 days like syrup. Even my jacket after washed twice still smells. 😂

Absolutely accurate description. This is a spritz fragrance. Lasted in my living for months after I sprayed the ottoman.

Kerosene make great fragrances. Their Black Vines lasts a tremendously long time too.

I love the smell and can only wonder what the previous was like. Diptyque’s Eau Capital which is similar is pretty strong too…but not Followed strong!

Alternative title for this video can be Followed: A Cautionary Tale. I love Kerosene, but I had a sample of this and it was overwhelming my whole apartment. I tend to prefer more intimate scents, and thought it was just me...but I could smell it on my boyfriend's jacket sleeve for WEEKS. Strongest fragrance I have ever experienced.
My longest lasting fragrance is either Oud satin mood extrait or Ombre Nomade. Absolute beasts

I recently did a sample haul, and guess what... Followed was amongst them and WOW! I had to throw it away because WHATEVER THIS JUICE TOUCHES WILL BE FOREVER SMELLING LIKE MAPLE SYRUP. Some people might enjoy this? I don't know 🤔🤷

Followed was the one fragrance I purchased that made me realize I am NOT a gourmand lover. It is as gourmand as it gets and as much as I love diners on a Sunday morning, coffee and maple syrup aren’t something I want to smell like for days and days. I sprayed this ONCE on a jacket of mine and even after washing it I couldn’t get the scent out. Nuclear performance to say the least.

This came back in stock after months of waiting, so I bought this straightaway along with other Kerosene samples after I got a call from the stockist. We’ve had very hot scorching weather here in the UK so goodness knows why I thought it’d be a good idea to buy this now. I just didn’t want to wait for months again when it’s going to be in demand towards autumn/winter, plus it’s on a reservation basis on waitlist. Sounds like this is going to be a one spray kind of fragrance, which is good for me as I don’t like it to necessarily be as potent (don’t like the term beast mode) but I like fragrances with longevity as my skin tends to eat up fragrance. I think one bottle will set me up for a very long time. Also looking forward to trying unknown pleasures, pretty machine, black vines and unforsaken.

My first maple syrup fragrance was Lancome Miracle homme.I might like Followed by Kerosene!
Just a side note, the Black-throated Monitor lizard produces a strong maple syrup scent.Take it as you wish! 💙💙

Their fragrances must have great longevity, I only have the one, Sweetly Known - very unisex scent - and it last for days and days on my clothes as well. It’s not quite as long lasting as Followed seems to be … but it is definitely beast mode as well.
I’ve only experienced the potency with followed not there other Fragrances.

If you have ever had a dog get skunked, the scent will come out from their skin in the rain for months no matter how many times washed. Maybe they used a molecule from whatever causes that scent to persist for so long. Not suggesting Followed smells bad.
I know what you mean. I got a sample a few weeks ago and its been in the cupboard of my ensuite and I can smell it outside of the bedroom! Lucky I love it
100% agree, it is ridiculously potent. I think it might contain maple furanone (one of the strongest fragrant compounds ever created) which smells like fenugreek and maple syrup.

I have wanted to try this because I love their gourmands and I was going to specifically request another video on maple syrup fragrances I loved your one on osthmanus! I love strong projectors beast mode but that I can wash out don’t like skin scents
I'm not sure if this is a fair comparison but I had bought 5 ml sample of Roja Dove's U.A.E and wore some in the winter and inadvertently got some on my winter hat and then the weather got milder for a couple week stretch. I was surprised to see it was still present a few weeks later when the weather turned colder again. I laughed at your comment about people being turned off by how long their fragrance lasted and I thought that is the difference between you wearing a fragrance and the fragrance wearing you.
Maybe that’s the magic of the name-use this fragrance and you will be FOLLOWED by the smell forever!😂

I've had that happen before! When fragrances rub off of clothing onto other clothing. 😄 Nothing with a maple syrup accord though. Certainly does make me wonder what John used.

I've had it for 5 days, it's very powerful... just one spray lasts all day... I work in a supermarket and you can smell it everywhere!!😅 but everyone tells me that they smell the licorice and so do I!!

Had to get rid of this. There was no place I could store without smelling. It took over my closet, and lingered on my clothing for weeks. Too much. Also, the smell became like Indian food. It’s too much.

I had a similar experience with Unique'e Crush on Me - I could smell it on an item of clothing I hung up in my to go to cleaners section and forgot to take it to the cleaners for 6 months. I had to get rid of that fragrance. I usually love long-lasting "nuclear" frgarances but that one is just rude.
Oh trust me I have Crush On Me this is 100x stronger. At least to me it is.
I got the sample of followed and follow. I didnt spray it but manged to get a tiny drop on my finger. That was enough i didnt need to spray it.
Unfortunately I bought this perfume, this fragrance was the worst I’ve ever had and it really lasts forever.
Just use 2 sprays and you will smell fenugreek the whole week.
I think this perfume contains a big amount of Sotolone (Caramel Furanone), which has a beast performance with caramel and fenugreek smell.
I don’t recommend this perfume.
Got a sample of followed in the mail and sprayed it on my hand at 9am, after doing a lot of physical work, and a long shower, where i scrubbed my hand with soap for a good 20 seconds. Im still picking it up at 1am

Coffee is a tricky note, and coffee and maple hmm I dunno. I like ristrotto intense cafe but only because it smells like my Italian grandma’s kitchen during breakfast and I rarely wear it.
Dear Sebastian, I bought it back after watching one of your past videos and I realised that it is the most powerful fragrance in the world. I am pretty sure that there was no more powerful fragrance than it and will not be in the future such a powerful fragrance. I can smell it in my office three weeks after one spray. But unfortunately no body in my acquaintances liked the fragrance. My sons and my wife have stopped me from spray it and asked me not to respray. I have never been complimented about this fragrance. I looking for fragrance with such a performance (not gourmand). Please give me your thoughts about that. A lot advise me to buy Megamare from orto Parisi and I do so but it is a mess no body smell it on me or in my place

I have Megamare, Perverso and Followed, and believe me when I say Followed is in a completely different league. It's ridiculously potent.

They change the formula, what you will get now it’s 2 hours after initial application of strong projection, after that it’s becoming a skin scent. 8h mark it’s gone.
