[4K] Three Little Pigs at Legoland, join us for this wonderful puppet version of the classic story as the three little pigs seek their fortune and come across a wolf who will huff and puff until he has something for his tea.
The Three Little Pigs puppet show is a story about three pigs who build three houses of different materials. A Big Bad Wolf who bears a more than a passing resemblance to Michael Caine and is named after one of his famous characters, Alfie, blows down the first two little pigs houses, made of straw and sticks respectively, but is unable to destroy the third little pig's house made of bricks. The big bad wolf, known as Alfred T Wolf Esquire or Alfie for short, makes reference to one of Michael Caine's most famous line 'You were only supposed to blow the ****** doors off' from the 1969 Italian Job film when he huffs and puffs the straw house. The big bad wolf uses the line 'I only wanted to blow the door off'. The show also makes use of the classic Three Little Pigs lines "Little pig, little pig, let me in" , "Not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin", "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in" and encourages the audience to join in.
The show also features a pantomime element with audience asked to shout out when they spot the big bad wolf and shout along to the the classic Three Little Pigs lines. The Three Little Pigs is a great puppet show which was well received by the audience, drawing a large crowd.
With a modern and comedic twist and narrated by the LEGOLAND Windsor Story Teller alongside a cast of Puppets, this show is fun for all ages, with the adults getting the Michael Caine references thrown in. The DUPLO Valley Theatre is located in the Duplo Valley area of Legoland. The DUPLO Valley theatre was originally known as the Willow Stage.
Did you know?
An early version of the Three Little Pigs story contained three pixies and a fox before its best known version appeared in English Fairy Tales by Joseph Jacobs in 1890 with the three pixies becoming three little pigs and the fox becoming the big bad wolf.
