NE OBLIVISCARIS comments, "We present to you Part 1 of 2 of our 16 minute+ epic 'Misericorde,' a song that delves into the subject of dealing with terminal illness. It's about your body betraying you, the inner battle both physical and mental (and the range of emotions that come with it), which eventually becomes apparent to others as your health deteriorates letting your armour fall away."

I feel that we are seeing something real rare happening. In terms of how good these guys are, I compare it to the Still Life - Ghost Reveries era of Opeth. Just out of this world!!!

When I have first heard it I have not enjoyed it as much and found it a bit disappointing, but since this is a prog album and song - or rather only the first part of a prog song - I have decided to wait before forming an opinion. And holy heck, in the context of the full song and album this is absolutely amazing and it makes complete sense now, this just being the "build up" for the second parts awesomeness.

That Violin section around 2:39 sounds like a duel between two viola, it sounds so beautiful, like suddenly transported from a mosh pit to an orchestra amphitheater. Pure eargasm
Thats exactly my first thought, I wish this section with the viola and violin would have lasted a bit longer it was just so epic for me. the first time hearing it I didn't think too much of it, the second time however lol I kept rewinding it to hear the little duel lol, just so epic.

It was one of the things that drew me to them. They use bass way more it seems. At least where it stands out more.

The bass is mixed perfectly. This is the best sounding record ive heard in so long. This production is amazing
@Gatitasecsii not really, you can clearly make the parts out where the bass is supposed to dominate. in this case from 4:20 on and it's absolutely awesome. Vocals don't have always have to be the loudest.
Words cannot describe how incredible this band is. One of the only bands that can do no wrong compositionally. This album is going to be a banger.

the composure is just amazing. I only play 1 out of the nearly 6 (including vocals, if you're picky) instruments on the list and you can so obviously tell how difficult they all are when pushed to the limit
Their songs are nice, they have virtuosistic skills, but saying that their compositions are perfect is too much of a stretch. Their harmony could be enriched, for example.
