CJ - thanks, as always, for uploading this film. I've always been amazed at the taste and discrimination you show in your selections on this channel. For all the folks who are looking for a full length film: of course, it would be wonderful to have talented people working with more, but so many of the films here are, in and of themselves, complete works. We're all just lucky to have someone like CJ to distribute them more widely.
A nice touch! I do think there is a lot of poential working with hearing impaired or deaf in this type of film. They can be sexy, sensual, quiet. Id want to see more of this sort.
The subtleties in this film, and nuances the develop are extraordinary. This film is brilliant, and each time I watch I detect new things. A fun question is who is pursuing whom ? It seems to flip back and forth. The dramatic tension in the bedroom, the kiss that doesn't happen, is awesome to behold.
Be still my heart, this short film is SO SWEET :) I can see this being made into a big screen movie too. Sean and Derek have a beautiful bond. Love transcends many obstacles, even disabilities. Would have been great if they kissed, even if it were pecks on the cheeks. The ending was cute though and an open one too. I can see their relationship growing from then on.
After Sean wrote the message, "I hate feeling like this" on the car widow for his mate to read, they ran together to an unknown destination. One sequel could be that they returned to his crush's house and went to his bedroom where they had first flirted and nearly kissed. A sign on his bedroom door said: "No Trespassing". The feeling that Sean hated was most likely intense urges and sexual tension. They wanted to mutually satisfy each other's natural needs and desires. Now they had privacy and time to let their intimacy escalate full on without inhibition. :-)
A male voice, probably his father, calls out to Derek. Derek leaves the room. We don't know what happens in that time. Sean discovers what appears to be Derek's diary. We don't know what it says either, but from Sean's reaction it seems to be something disturbing. Derek returns disturbed. Sean wants to kiss him. Derek pulls away at that moment. Excellent short film that masterfully handles ambiguity and silences.

Amazing film, It's a shame not all gay guys live experiences like this or like the other films canadianjewel has uploaded. I've always wanted to date a deaf and dumb guy they're so cute.

Whatever Sean had read, he may have been upset that his crush was not reciprocally opening up and sharing his emotions and trustfully being vulnerable with him. To reassure Sean, his crush shut his bedroom door and grabbed Sean to keep him from leaving. They playfully touched each other and nearly kissed.
What a suspenseful long non-kiss that was - he was so desparate to be kissed and the other guy couldn't quite bring himself to do so. What a shame. But what was written on the car window - I could read "I hate ..." but not the rest.?

Being gay and being deaf are two completely different things, your sexuality has nothing to do with being able to communicate or make friends
