    In my opinion ctb is like curse and blessings at the same time. On one hand it optimises a lot of things. On the other hand it kind of makes repair and big battery to be a challenge

      CTB is mainly to optimise packaging, maximising cabin space and minimising imposition from the battery pack. Compared to models that have been 'adapted' for electric powertrains, vehicles like the eMAS 7 that feature EV-specific platforms (and therefore CTB) offer greater practicality.
      As for repairs & battery maintenance, we believe that Geely had this in mind when developing the Aegis short-blade LFP battery packs. PRO-NET staff have also confirmed modular battery repairs if and when needed.

    Nice to see them running these out for the public to see. They should certainly do something about the windows and tires to lessen road noise, the Chinese cars are doing a pretty good job on that front already, they should aim to improve there. Watching it from outside, it seems it had a bit more bounce on the rear end compared to other vehicles around it, may still need to sort that a bit more.

      NVH remains a priority for PRO-NET, which we also highlighted to them. On ride & handling, these cars are running a third set of development springs & dampers, with more coming in due course as the PROTON R&D teams in Kuala Lumpur & Hangzhou Bay coordinate to retune these cars to fit local demands.
      As we mentioned, the cars we drove were running 18" alloys with Atlas tyres, which do not represent the final product.

      @@MalaysianMotoring Thanks for the info. After seeing the Geely E5, this one looks promising, I’m hoping they keep it a 5 seater and not try to shoehorn a couple more seats in the back. The eMAS 7 name has me thinking this might be the case, hope I’m wrong.

      The PROTON X70 is not a 7-seater, neither is the PROTON S70.

      It could. Or you could use the same device you used to trigger the charging to watch a UA-cam video...

    when this car launches, will it only be certain proton dealerships?
    if so, are you able to say which dealership in melaka?

    • @MalaysianMotoring
      @MalaysianMotoring Годину тому

      The eMAS cars will be represented only at eMAS dealerships, which are separate locations with a unique corporate identity.
      Dealers have been appointed and dealerships are under construction as we speak, and will be announced in due course.

      This could be changed at any point. These cars are pre-production, as we stressed constantly throughout the video.

    If proton can't sell this at RM60K, there is no way it will sell in mass because the general Malaysian population just cannot afford it. And this car can only serve as a second car not a primary car.
