The Hornet was a radio control off road sand rail that had the same paint scheme as this. It was made by MRC Tamiya in the early 80s. I had one as a kid and my brother had the Grasshopper.
PS: Jun mai is the designer of the casting, he used to be @ hotwheels, but they kept crippling his work to satisfy investor gains instead of collectors, so he left the corporate greed job and landed at TSM (mini GT).
