You layout is looking awesome! You have a good eye for scenicing and just the right amount of detail. You have become on of my favorite channels. I hope to putchase a number of your 3D items which look great. Woodland Scenics should be a sponsor or atleast give you a DEEP DISCOUNT. You use a lot of their product, clearly say what they are, and I'm sure inspired a lot of sales.
I think it looks more realistic because of the dust! Those murky waters usually have floating stuff on it like small branches and leaves... The dust could represent that! Beside's that, great update, great work!
Layout looks so nice. Great detail and thank you for the video. I have had luck when pouring the Woodland Scenics water with a plaster base covered with Woodland Scenics Water Undercoats. They have different colors and lay it on thick. It will seal the deal.
Hi Nscaler454 , always like watching you doing scenery. When doing scenery you put a layer down let dry and repeat until done. It’s amazing what you have created. I use the briar patch to make small trees. I also do n scale and the trees look great. Thanks for sharing . Have a good weekend. 😎😎 👍
Magnificent catches of the model trains coming by and pass at the railroad crossing, I like it 5 stars. Hearing that amazing diesel sound and cars pass is absolutely crazy. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, i just liked and subscribed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Hey how are you. Just an idea for the next pour to help with the dust. Pre cut or find a box that fits over entire area and blow that out with air and after you pour and it's curing leave a cover on it as well no other dusty work in the room while drying. Love how it looks with the " garbage" on the banks. Nice work.
We are about to begin some diorama on our layout. This helps boost our confidence seeing how it’s done. Very helpful. Attention to detail is key in N Scale.
You'd might consider putting some trees in that landscape, to get rid of the emptiness feeling. Also maybe installing supporting company's for your main company. Just some ideas to throw your way!
For the water, I can recommend the video's by boomer. His layout is HO but the methods apply just as well to Nscale. If I remember correct he applied matte medium on top of the resin. Anyway he can brush/vacuum the water and does not really have any issues with dust/debris on the water or anywhere else on his layout.
@@nscaler454 In either case: good luck! The build (progress) is enjoyable to watch, I appreciate that you share the less than perfect results as well. Helps us all to learn!
Since you've gone green (not fall/winter) how about the occasional patch of native wild flowers/weeds? Just for a bit of pop. Overall, very impressed with your results and enjoy following your techniques.
Inspiring artistry! I would suggest double-checking the scale of the pallets you placed in the junkyard, which look really small. In the proto world, 3-4 average sized tires will easily lay down on a typical 48" x 40" pallet.
I think this is one of your best videos since I started following you. Thanks. Gave me some great ideas and tips. I have been in a rut for a while. By the way, where did you find the loading dock? Thanks! Cheers 🍻
Great update, what brand is that tunnel portal, or did you 3d print it. I'm finding it difficult to find a portal that will allow double stacked well cars underneath.
Dont add another layer add some fly fisherman and use the specs of dust as the fish feeding or the hatch of flies turn a happenstance problem into a feature.
So I am liking your videos! You mentioned you 3d printer lots of stuff in nscasle. Do you share, sell the files? I just bought an Elegoo Mars2 resin printer and would like learn how to make stuff. Randy
Honestly it is sad to think that the first water IS realistic also do you need to have the electric static grass dispenser or can you use like a salt shaker I’m new so I don’t know
Water looks great, I wouldn't mess with it !👍

Water looks really good.
That came out amazing! Truly inspiring. Thank you

I like how our minds think alike. I was thinking the dust spots could represent leaves, bugs, or little fishies just below the surface.
I would let it be as is and NOT add more resin. Just an opinion, but too many times I've fiddled with something too much and wished I hadn't.
@@nscaler454 we're both Canadian n scale modelers after all!

I also thought the briar patch would make good trees. Glad someone else can confirm.
This loos great! And that Static King works amazingly.
Great job. Your vegetation and rocks are superb.
What a great update! Nice to sit back and watch someone do scenery
It looks fine in my opinion.
Absolutely excellent! Great work!

Great progress! It’s coming together well.
Excellent modelling in a nicely presented video. Always a pleasure to watch a Nscaler454 update. You have a great eye for detail. Very creative.
Love the details keep up the amazing work 😊
Love the details
Hi Nsacler454 & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Nscaler454 & Friends Randy
Use Modge Podge gloss to seal your water feature and use an air brush to add ripples to add realisms.
Gives it a real look of water in the middle of two big industrial areas. Looks like stuff floating in the water.
Nicely done,,thanks for sharing,,😊

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Looks Pretty Awesome!!!
its getting greener. like the update!
Some great all around scenery work…the small details your adding brings life…I’ve broken HO fence post…delicate…

Great job on that landscaping! The result is outstanding.
Thanks!
Lots of beautiful additions and cool details - great work!
Cool layout and video
Excellent scenery!
Great update and awesome content, thanks
Looks awesome, always love the scenery stage really brings the layout to life.
Awesome layout additions 👍💪👌. Appreciate the scenery links. I sure need to order some and start somewhere! I'm scared to start though 😢
No need to be afraid. Going slow and doing things in layers is pretty fool proof.
New subscriber. I like the way you did your scenery. I may have to use some of the technique.
Amazing!
Use some Gloss Modpog to add texture and hide the dust.
You'd might consider putting some trees in that landscape, to get rid of the emptiness feeling. Also maybe installing supporting company's for your main company. Just some ideas to throw your way!
You're reading my mind
water looks great. Dust in the resin is just bugs floating on the top of the water.

I know what you're talking about. I looked into that product actually. I may go that route, we'll see.
@@nscaler454 In either case: good luck! The build (progress) is enjoyable to watch, I appreciate that you share the less than perfect results as well. Helps us all to learn!
I would use Woodland Scenic water waves over the top once it dries. Make it look a little choppy.

Actual size of the pallets are 0.30 x 0.25 inches which is 48x40 scaled down to 1:160.
Maybe a few small trees or large bushes in that area you feel is "barren." Utility poles or light stands are other options.
Shhhh, don't spoil my plans ;)

Thanks! I designed and printed the loading dock
Love your scenery! Where did the wheel stops come from, and will they fit code 80 (Unitrack) rail?
I make them and they are available on www.nscaler454.com. I have tested them on Kato unitrack and they worked.
@@nscaler454 Great, I'll check your store!

Make some water ripples or a splash rings.

Some things I share/sell digitally. They can be found in my digital section on nscaler454.com
Where do you get those small rocks from?
gravel I gathered locally.
@Nscaler454 What's your opinion on Grey Excel Gum?
haha. I chew the green Excel gum ;)
