    You layout is looking awesome! You have a good eye for scenicing and just the right amount of detail. You have become on of my favorite channels. I hope to putchase a number of your 3D items which look great.
    Woodland Scenics should be a sponsor or atleast give you a DEEP DISCOUNT. You use a lot of their product, clearly say what they are, and I'm sure inspired a lot of sales.

    I think it looks more realistic because of the dust! Those murky waters usually have floating stuff on it like small branches and leaves... The dust could represent that! Beside's that, great update, great work!

    • @nscaler454
      @nscaler454  6 місяців тому +4

      I like how our minds think alike. I was thinking the dust spots could represent leaves, bugs, or little fishies just below the surface.

      I would let it be as is and NOT add more resin. Just an opinion, but too many times I've fiddled with something too much and wished I hadn't.

    Layout looks so nice. Great detail and thank you for the video. I have had luck when pouring the Woodland Scenics water with a plaster base covered with Woodland Scenics Water Undercoats. They have different colors and lay it on thick. It will seal the deal.

    Hi Nscaler454 , always like watching you doing scenery. When doing scenery you put a layer down let dry and repeat until done. It’s amazing what you have created. I use the briar patch to make small trees. I also do n scale and the trees look great. Thanks for sharing . Have a good weekend. 😎😎 👍

      I also thought the briar patch would make good trees. Glad someone else can confirm.

    Use Modge Podge gloss to seal your water feature and use an air brush to add ripples to add realisms.

    Hey how are you. Just an idea for the next pour to help with the dust. Pre cut or find a box that fits over entire area and blow that out with air and after you pour and it's curing leave a cover on it as well no other dusty work in the room while drying. Love how it looks with the " garbage" on the banks. Nice work.

    For the water, I can recommend the video's by boomer. His layout is HO but the methods apply just as well to Nscale. If I remember correct he applied matte medium on top of the resin. Anyway he can brush/vacuum the water and does not really have any issues with dust/debris on the water or anywhere else on his layout.

    Since you've gone green (not fall/winter) how about the occasional patch of native wild flowers/weeds? Just for a bit of pop. Overall, very impressed with your results and enjoy following your techniques.

    Inspiring artistry! I would suggest double-checking the scale of the pallets you placed in the junkyard, which look really small. In the proto world, 3-4 average sized tires will easily lay down on a typical 48" x 40" pallet.

    • @nscaler454
      @nscaler454  22 дні тому

      Actual size of the pallets are 0.30 x 0.25 inches which is 48x40 scaled down to 1:160.

    Maybe a few small trees or large bushes in that area you feel is "barren." Utility poles or light stands are other options.
