I made this hat yesterday using red heart with love yarn and a 4.55mm hook. Although it's a little big, I reduced the final two rounds about four stitches per round for a total of eight stitches, I actually like the fit, it's not tight at all. I think if I were to make it again, i would start with eight stitches instead of nine, I think that would be a perfect fit.

it would have to be completely redesigned... research and development and trial testings. It would be a whole new project to do. I don't have any immediate answers without going through a week of trials and having my testing team assist.

I can't seem to keep my count up correctly...it may help if you say how many stitches to count after a row is finished, then I can see.

Any idea to adapt this pattern to a scarf? My friend saw the hat I made and ask me to make her a scarf. I would appreciate any pointers. Thank you! ~Mia

That's a neat idea but I don't have anything off the top of my head of the moment. That would require research and development but anything is possible. There isn't anything like that in the current free patterns at this time.

Yes, it is. You can omit some rounds to shorten it up if you prefer.
