Welcome to human history.
I believe that the jonglei canal should not be even a debate.Until then I believe there are better solutions for Egyptian water problems e.g desalination
@@JabbarTV1 stop talking crap and lying ,what are you the egyptian foreign minister
What can we do to prevent this project from starting?
Jabbar
I hope the canal gets completed, the people of the Sud can simply farm the land after the outer marshes are drained and farm the lands on the banks of the canal
which would benefit South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt with their water & food security
I bet you didn't consider the poor majority of South Sudan's people, they have suffered enough
@@emanmosharafa558 haha do you really think Egypt will allow that too happen. That will be completely counter-prpductive to what they want to achieve. You are probably not educated because it shows.
Advocate for this important natural phenomenon to be included and be protected under unep and unesco
@@emanmosharafa558We have suffered enough hahaha!!!!!🤔
Do u Kno why we are suffering, the first reason is because of the Jonglei canal, Southern Sudanse were against it and that's why the war broke out that lead to suffering. we might be illiterate but we know what's good for us, animals and the environment.
U want South Sudan to be a desert like Egypt and who even said we don't farm? We don't need Egypt's help
This is madness! ... Last time Sudan and Egypt tried this, the workers got killed.
We all know trusting Egypt with water is a bad idea... Maybe they shouldn't have built a dam down stream, just maybe.
ye, lets live with yearly floods and not farm at all in summer
ignorant..
@@JabbarTV1 The floods are the thing that makes Egypt fertile and gives it water, You only causing drowths and less water.
@@secondsquirrel1168 the pros of building the dam definitely out weighs the cons.. at least human lives have been saved from the floods. This canal will save the lives of hundreds if not thousands of South Sudanese as well.
Politicians did something similar to the Aral Sea and it didn’t go so well
I wonder If the water supply from Jonglei canal mitigates the impact on Egyptian Nile river from Ethiopian dam GERD,
Then that makes sense Egypt wants to support the canal.
Does anyone know if it is true?
I am a South Sudanese and it is true.
However, we will never allow the completion of Jonglei canal!!!!!!!!
@@manytuch your leaders are a joke yo allow that
I don’t understand how people can be so stupid.
@Jaylin. Okay then since your so wise enlightene us with a resolution then
@@aspdlsp2420 dont build a damn. egypt should help its self. they got themselves in the mess.
"Hey, let's turn our own country's land to desert, what could go wrong? Also, the people that live there are from a different tribe, and Egypt will bribe me, so get digging baby!"

Are those people hellbent on digging the canal bone headed...?! 😠😡👿 Can't they see what happened to Aral Sea..?!
Desalination would solve Egypt's water problems.
What do we do?
It's really sad to see it , hope it gets cancel
Also I hate it how some countries get to make dam and let less water go to the next country
Yeah the Aswan dam has ruined the ecology and fertility of the Nile Delta in Egypt. I wonder what the GERD will ruin. Less silt for fertility will make them all dependent on fertilizers, coming from other countries. Starvation will probably happen.
water is life, SAY NO TO DREDGING!
Ethiopia nile tribute is not the second rather it is the first with a contribution of 86% of the Nile river.
can you say the same to ethiopia's dam that may kill the nile

@@chrisbennett6260 I don't know if this is a scheme by developed countries to stop us from progressing
Great Effort, It’s really a concern to distress the life’s of 2000 elephants and 15000 crocodile, and possibility of rain reduced in the area, but helping to secure a live of 100 million Egyptians is not really a big concern!!!
Humanity's downfall will be it's own doing!
the fx are like 1db too loud
Reminds me of the Aral sea, project. Ill informed.
Hope this giant machine stays off !!very informative.
We hope that too! 🤞🏽
Glad to hear that, thanks!
easy vote. save the Sudd
This is greed and unfortunately greed is too common around the world and they will hurt themselves.
This actually was the reason behind the outbreak of the sudanese civil in 1980th so people of south sudan will not allow such a destructive project to take place
Instead of building South Sudan's Economy by using the waters of the Sudd for Agriculture and industrial use
To get a better GDP per Capital and per year,
The leaders are thinking of ways to destory the territory as a whole.
Wat a disgrace
the leaders are scumbags
Egypt should pursue desalination instead
Humans won't stop until the whole world dries or drowned...
Remember the Aral sea? And the Dead Sea? Stuff like this is never a good idea.
If the gov are stubborn and go ahead with canal, will it have unseen benefits? Like will it allow wildlife, evaporation for rainfall... etc? I guess this is what the gov is banking on
people like this minister must remain steadfast as they're, buy our animals as much time as they need. You all are doing a fantastic job, but a necessary one!
Create a urban settlement along side the canal ... It will both the problem ...
No
Humans are very shortsighted 😭😭
Sometimes I wish people would just leave nature alone. When you think about it, it feels like 90% of things humans do to nature do not have to happen! Just leave it. Not everything has to be about power or money or whatever. How about we try just living in the world as it is and finding solutions to our problems that don‘t harm anyone, including wildlife and nature?
Why aren't more people talking about how selfish EGYPT is?
regulating the water flow allowed Egypt to do agriculture and build a civilization. This canal is very beneficial for South Sudan. To the least, it will save the lives of hundreds if not thousands of South Sudanese from the floods.

The canal will proof catastrophic for south sudan though in the future if it is approved:so that’s that.
Africans have to make these decisions themselves. They are not easy decisions.
there Arabs for stooges of Arabs
It’s sad that humans are still considering these ecologically disastrous projects.
So the whole plan is to help Egypt?
Seriously guys? You know what this will bring upon the environment. It’s like dealing with rugrats man, their brain isn’t developed completely.
It’s sad and disheartening that people are so shortsighted and never learn from past errors 😢
Gajah nya besar sekali KK 👍👍
We are actually ugly humans especially politicians
Sudanese don't be stupid, Egypt is is fooling you. Don't be blind! The Egyptians are doing the canal for their own benefits.
I'm Definitely Against The Canal , Nature Was Perfectly Fine Without Our Help.
This is a declaration of war.
It's a sad sad world.
Not a river anymore, but a bigger volume of water:a ņew sea
Why do you play music over the narration?
Ask the people who used to live around the Aral Sea, water diversion will kill the eco system.
