Near my great grandma's Nive Tufuga's land which is now occupied by her eldest son Lopao'o Pagia and his offsprings at Utuloa, Asau, my granduncle and the half brother of my grandma, Fuifui Tolua Tufuga. Fuifui Tufuga is now interned at the Beenleigh Cemetery, South East Queensland, Australia, along with my mother Mema Tufuga. I used to fly into Asau at this same airstrip from Fagali'i Airstrip throughout the 70s and 80s before the Cyclones wiped it out of existence. I used to go spear fishing at the reef at the airstrip with my uncles as a child. I used to dive off the wharf into the Matavai Harbour as a child too with my cousins. Fond childhood memories. The lumber is from my ancestral land and the original sawmill was on my great grandma's Nive Tolua Tufuga's land. But, that was then and obviously times have changed since then.

@@finpark I did. I know what is my people's land. They are still there, right now. Most of us have migrated out of Samoa. I, myself, was born in New Zealand. I travel to Samoa regularly in the 70s and the 80s. I was last in Asau, in May, 2018, stayed at my Aunt's house, in Utuloa, where we have lived for 3,000 years!!!!!

@@finpark Facts? I dont need facts....You just need to visit my family and their graves on the land. We've been here for over three thousand years. There is a reason why my surname is Tufuga It is not because Im a Chief....it is because we are the original descendant people from Asau. I have no reason to justify my existence to ANYONE!
I am a descendant of the land, it is my ancestral homeland.
O ai o oe ete fa'amasino mai? O ai oe?
Go to Lopao'o's land in Utuloa and view my Great Grandmother's grave....and then ASK ANYONE there and I dare you to deny us in front of anyone there. Youd be lucky to walk out without any injuries!
One of the boys will come at you with a Sapelu lol! A warning, the Asau kids are hotheads!

Great stuff - certainly brought back some memories for me. Am struggling to find a good still photo of MISIMOA.
