Spot on. my now ex husband, locked my indoor declawed rescue outside in a 3 day torrential rain and the outdoor cat locked inside .. no bowls for food or water anywhere as the house was empty and ready for sale ... he called and said come get your cats or they gonna die so they were both left for dead pretty much while I was 1200 miles away with a broken spine. Took 3 days but I got to them. Both were skin and bone when I got to them, one more day and I believe they both would have been dead. Now both are obsessed with me. I mean OBSESSED. The momma cat will pull her hair out when I leave while the Bubba cat won't leave my side for nothing and will cry incessantly if he wakes and doesn't see me or a door is closed between us. It's been 5 years now. They get tons of attention, love and care because I know the trauma they felt and little by little .. very slowly, they are getting better. They will now come outisde withe me but will not venture more than 20 feet away and will come rushing back at the slightest change in wind or sound or movement and my Bubba cat watches over my momma cat like a hawk. He gets all weirded out when she's one place and I'm in another. It's the 3 of together or there is hell to pay. Like one big plume of total anxiety, panic and fear .. All I can do is love em.. ❤️
That experience opened my eyes to the evil I had bound myself to. When i got to them, I was so thankful we were all finally free of such wickedness.❤

Funny…two dogs: Ella, I had since birth and Cupid dropped off about four months. Ella’s always been anxious and timid but her brother, Sammy, protected her until he was hit by a car and died. She became very attached to me and cried whenever I left the house. Then here comes playful loving Cupid, abandoned for the third time, who helped Ella stop mourning her brother, build her confidence, and enjoy life again. The girls are inseparable and I’m loving it! My baby is going to be 5 on July 4 but she has ptsd from the verbal attacks on both of us and the physical attacks on me.
