7 years later but..., the 2755 is waaaaay lighter than this boat. More than a ton lighter in fact. So there is your answer. Engine size has a marginal effect on consumption, weight does.
Various Vehicles that boat is under power with the 350 then. Prob has to rev high to keep the speed. I now have a searay 330 with 2x454s and do about the same 13-15gph per engine.
@@Arlind86 It really depends on what one would consider underpowered. Compared to many much older boats from the 60s or 70s, it has plenty of power. They could sometimes be hard to get on a plane. 37 mph or so top speed is enough for many people. 13.3 gph is not bad at all considering it weighs 3.6 metric tons. I Dont know which model of searay 330 you own, but if it is the one which debuted in the 90s, it has about twice the consumption (according to yourself), with about a third more weight, so the 285 is more efficient. Which is to be expected considering the year of manufacture. My maxum 2500scr (Pretty similar to a 2755) uses only 20% less fuel, but weighs 50% less. But it and its engine is from 1991. Technology marches on, if only by a little bit.
Awesome boat
Outstanding video.
beautiful pocket cruiser
Does anyone know what boat in 2023 is closest to this boat in cost and amenities?
Bayliner's are the best boats around
good video, thanks for posting (G)
Bay liners are the best boats
13 gph on a 350? Sounds like a lot for a 350, I get 15 gph on a 454 but i cruise at 30-35 mph and on a heavier older 2755 91

energy consumed will be determined by power draw with correction for efficiency
и где теперь этот бейлайнер который строил ЯХТЫ? Теперь он строит тендеры для яхт. Как же это все грустно.
