very nice episode......Rakesh ji. 👌👌👌👌 Film Man ji ki adhiktar filmon ki tarah hi pure entertainer thi. LP ka music humesha ki tarah evergreen hai. Aapne is film ko 'hit' bataaya hai magar maine har jagah ise "blockbuster" suna hai. Mere khyaal se sabse jyada blockbuster dene ka record Man ji ke naam hona chaiye.

बिना दिमाग की फिल्म है गाने बहुत अच्छे हैं
Episode achcha laga. Lekin suhaag film ke baare me ek cheez sahi nahin lagi, Amitabh Bachchan ko mandir par chadkar woh suicide waale drama scene nahin karna chahiye tha jo Dharmendra ne pani ki tanki par kiya tha sholay me woh alag baat hai. Lekin Mandir jaisi pavitra jagah ka samman karna chahiye tha puri team ko. Also showing a hindu sant as one of the villains was not right. This is my personal opinion. Baki film ke saare gaane achche the. Great research rakeshji.
Voh under construction mandir par is liye chadta hai ke mandir poora nahi banaya jaa raha.. mandir ke liye hi chadta hai..baki sadhu sant ke get up mein villain normal baat hai koi khaas baat nahi..yeh batein aaj kal zyada ho rahi hain tab log Film ki kisi baat ko itna dil se nahi lagate they..cinema was for entertainment at least in those days 👍👍

Nice efforts but episode should be made on any memorable classic film except suhag and the great gambler.
Thank you for your opinion but i disagree..i make episodes about memorable films who ranked at a higher place in any year.they were hits or flops is not important but they have lots of behind the scenes stories to share.. almost every person likes these episodes.if i follow your opinion i will be in loss.it means reducing number of episodes and audience.

Suhaag was another masala entertaining film by Manmohan Desai with big starcast like Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Rekha and Parveen Babi and again Nirupa Roy as their mother after deewar and amjad khan as their father although in the same age group as AB and SK. Songs were chartbusters especially Teri Rab ne banadi jodi, Maa sherawali, main to beghar hu and ae yaar sun which helped it to become a hit. I love all these songs. But story wise it was perhaps the weakest film of Manji when it comes to 70s. The bar he had rised in 1977 with 4 classic blockbusters was just too impaccable to match. This was indeed similar to parvarish in many ways including the 2 Brothers falling for 2 sisters and the other family eliments. 1 time watch i guess. But your presentation is as always superb rakesh bhai!!! Enjoyed the episode..👍👍👍

Suhag was a movie without logic but entertaining as usual MD 's films. I heard somewhere that firstly it was planned by MD with Amitabh & VK but due to VK announced retirement then he moved to Shashi ji but your story says otherwise.
Anyway the film was good and your presentation was better.

I didnt know Rajesh Khanna was also approached for this film. It would have been interesting if he had not backed out of the film. I guess he just didn't want to work with Amitabh bachchan after Namak Haraam.
Amitabh was the main protagonist of the story and kaka was not ready for this

Suhaag was among top 5highest grossers of 1979. Manmohan desai was like a superhuman film maker with a golden charm and that made this film superduperhit even though it was not his best film compared to dharam veer chacha bhatija parvarish amar akbar anthony
But Sargam was a surprise blockbuster and songs were superduperhit. Another surprise hit of 1979was Golmaal.
Amitabh was undeniable superstar and he had another hit mr natwarlal and critically acclaimed kaala patthar.
Dharmendra continued as a steady horse with Kartavya .
Over all a superb end to 1979.
Rafi was riding his come back after a lean phase between 1970to1975 . Laila majnu,humkisisey kum nahi,amar akbar anthony and now with Sargam Rafi was back with a bang.
In superstardom Amitabh was like God and he gave his voice in mr natwarlalfamous song "merey paas aao merey doston ek kissa suno".I was 10year old in 1979and a big bachchan Fan.

This movie might have been much more entertaining and interesting if Rajesh Khana had been in the movie. As it is, it seems a little stale. Nothing new by this time.
