- Welcome back to the channel everyone. In this video I will test out the brand new #hoobwing #Max5 G2 250amps and the new 5690 1250kv sensored brushless can. This motor in my opinion is no comparison over the old 5687 1100kv can. With my #traxxas Xrt weighing in at just under 34 pounds this truck is tossed around no problem. At the end of the run the motor was not even over 120 degrees and that's running in thick grass also.

If you are having problems fitting lipos into your #traxxas xrt or xmaxx check out these #pnwrcmadness HD carbon fiber Battery trays. They come with metal buckles and are made with Kevlar. And they will not break on ya.

Pnwrcmadness HD Aluminum 30mm screw spacing motor mount. These mounts are super tough and have been proven over and over by me and many others. These work in both your xmaxx and xrt

Nice man looks awesome with that belt drive and all. I just sold my xrt didbt like it. Had the max 6 and stock motor. I'm getting that 1250KV for my outcast 8S exb. Does it run hot with those fans?

Great video ! I’m building an New XRT Slider. Been into RC since 70’s. First real “electric” rig. I know I want MAX5. Absolutely can’t decide between 5690 or 56118 (1100kv). Emailed Hobbywing and they couldn’t really give me definite answers. Do you have an opinion between these 2 for an XRT ? There seems to be a ton of suggestions for MAX6 w/ Stock motor for dependability. Thanks for any help you can give regarding the 2 motor’s. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much!! That's how I built one of my xrts. Slider is the way to go imo🤙🏼 you'll have so much fun with the max5. And it depends on what you're doing. Both great options for sure, I like the smaller can motors. The 1250kv is smaller and yet still amazing power both low and high. (I always revert back to the smaller motor can.) The 1100 will be a power house too.
My advice is to stick with a max5 g2 and either motor you will enjoy no doubt
How would you compare the stock motor to yours in terms of power.
I feel like it's more smooth. Its definitely faster with more torque, very noticeable while driving
Do you prefer this motor over the castle 1721?
I'm not sure yet. I really like the castle 1260 ALOT. But it has some draw backs for me. The can is longer and the 25mm screw spacing on it. It's hard to say yet. I really like the 1260kv for its buttery smoothness and smooth power.

What parts I need to make my lmt belt driven. I got a mamba x castle 1515.
Im so bummed out it broke, it should never ever break,thats the whole point of getting something from us..... however; we alrealy investigated ,and found out what coused this faulty mount.. a new one is is shippd out within 24 hrs, and we know you will not break that one again.😉
