Loretta did this album a few years after Doo passed. It's a grest album. If l remember correctly, Loretta said Doo said those words to her. At 1st. She thought he meant he couldn't hear. But was really telling her he couldn't hear the music cause his time with her was ending. She truly loved that man til the day she died. Just think, if Loretta had never met/ married him we would've NEVER heard of Loretta, her wonderful voice or the graet songs she wrote!
Background of this song is this was written after her husband died. The live performance is the only time she performed it live. It hurt her so much. If you get a chance watch the music video so sweet! Well 3:20 this her husband saying this to her due complications of diabetes.
There’s a live performance video of this song that has flashback clips of Loretta and her husband, who this song is about, that is absolutely heartbreaking.
@kathylivedinthe80s14 Hopefully this one is allowed to stay up. The copyright holders and UA-cam have made some strides in ironing things out, so we'll see how this one goes.
This is when Tayla went on the road with her and also had her move in with in Nashville just get away from the ranch after her husband died. She finally told Tayla she was ready to go out on the road and asked Tayla to go with her.
Thanks so much Eliyahs fore this excellent request, it is absolutely beautiful. I got the tears too. Thanks Don for the wonderful reaction.
