The wet markets are great for fruit and vegetables but I get a little worried about the meat as they dont seem to use ice to keep it fresh and flies everywhere. Presumably you go early to avoid that?
I assume you are freezing most of the bulk meats and seafood… I was curious how well wet market meats do being frozen in regular home refrigerators vs like commercial flash freezing of seafood, Particularly the shrimp. Any chance you guys can do a video on a big wet market shopping haul and how you handle food storage and or even meal prep? I’m curious what the wifey does with all the little fish to make dog and cat food too.
@@ItsMe_Philippines So no issues with freezing slowly in a chest freezer? Since the meat at wet markets isn't refrigerated plus with the heat and humidity... I was worried about spoilage and how well it would freeze and store. I have noticed the texture difference between seafood that is flash frozen vs. fresh seafood that I just pop into my freezer... particularly shrimp. Flash frozen shrimp meat stays firm, but the slowly frozen shrimp can get a bit mushy. Anyways, if you are looking for content ideas, I'd appreciate seeing your process... I'm planning on moving to the Philippines in the next year or two and have been trying to translate how I shop at Costco and local grocery stores here in California to a mix of S&R or Landers, Pure Gold, Hypermart etc... and the wet markets there.

I have a large chest freezer and I have been meal prepping for years. She cooks it with rice and veggies
Love watching you both. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Welcome to my hometown..comeback during fiesta July 24 and 25...;)

I love watching your channel, can you make longer?
12 minutes is the ideal average length so this was longer than most people will watch.

Cant wait to land in september. Any tips ?
Can you recomend any gyms in manilla nd cebu ?
Thank you! Where you landing or what island(s) you heading to?
the audio is mainly in one ear for most of the video so I'd personally switch the audio too mono.

First time using this set up and learning. Thank you for the constructive criticism!
Almost forgot, until you mentioned your investments! Taking them for a walk?😂😂😂

@@ItsMe_Philippines I assume better half feeling good now? Did you witness change in confidence? Most get big boost. Please tell her she looking great, be happy!
What’s the night time camera setup? The quality is amazing
Thank you! Sony FX30 cinema camera, Sony 11mm vlogging lens for wide shots, Sony 16-55mm for land/city shooting, both with variable ND filters, held on a DJI Ronin RS3 Gimble.
it's Tagpila ? ( how much) first words I learned, Love the Markets
Yes, it is!
Since there is not a lot of foreigners what i like, how is the communication there with locals and their English?
Seemed pretty good but I have been practicing the local language so I use that as much as I can
My wife and I love seafood. It looks like we would also love it in the Philippines.

hahaha she's always trying to set me up
@@ItsMe_Philippines lol
we can not wait to get back to the Philippines
Come on back!
The market was nice! How far from your house? You look like your getting more jacked, good job!
1.5 hours roughly and I lowered my fat and picked up the cardio so I'm actually losing weight. You always look bigger when the muscles start to show definition.
im based in cebu but live in tanjay, my wife and daughter is current based there...
We really like it compared to duma. Minus not having a movie theater but no big deal.
The towel/face cloth on the head Filipino style!
I had too lol
Just curious who makes that bag you’re carrying. That strap looks beefy enough to thwart theft by cutting the strap
Good question, I'd have to check. Use it to hold my camera gear and extra batteries and it's strong and comfortable.
Great video as always! How much would cost a gym like in the video monthly? And sorry for this question, but are you on trt? Hahahaha it's something I always wondered if i should do it when i reach 40s
Have your doctor check your levels and don't think about it just because of a number on your license.
Lmao….”my stomach is small”. Response: “good, keep it that way”. Man I love you guys. SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON!
That's important to me and she knows that lol
@@ItsMe_Philippines lmao 🤣 Love you bro. Take care 💪🏼
Very cool little town!!!!

I wish she was still here 😢😢
Very sorry for your lose
Enjoy your Travels,
Will do, thank you!
Very nice guys. God information 😃
Thank you 😃
Is it difficult to buy in bulk for the meat if there are so many brown outs. Have you ever had an issue with food spoiling?
No, plus brown outs are only issues on some islands and we have only had two in the last 1.5 years. House is on solar and I have a battery for the fridge and freezer anyways.
@ItsMe_Philippines has there been any significant typhoons that have caused trouble with roads, services or power? Just wanted to know so I can prepare
