In purgatory: WWD Postosuchus: You here too? DR Saurosuchus: Yep WWD Postosuchus: How? DR Saurosuchus: Bought up by several dicynodonts, and you? WWD Postosuchus: Lost my territory and died of starvation, got eaten by several Coelophysis
Super Mario Logan Fan WWD really nerfed Postosuchus. Not only was it shown as pathetically slow, IIRC they didn’t even state that the wound became seriously infected or anything, it was apparently lethal in and of itself (when most wild animals can survive similar levels of injuries if they aren’t infected). And the part about it being more poorly adapted to the Triassic hothouse than Coelophysis was actually an inversion of reality (when rauisuchians were more tolerant of heat and drought than theropods, especially at larger sizes-this is why larger theropods were restricted to higher latitudes in the Triassic even though the rauisuchians were everywhere)
Croc: Hmm, those are secondary charecters, I will ram into them. Also Croc: Oh, thats the main charecter, let me jump from side to side and give the veiwers anxiety.
Jenny D it isn’t rather they wouldn’t have them because they’re distantly related from crocodilians, which they themselves don’t have lips, but it’s rather a matter of principle. Saurosuchus and it’s relatives were terrestrial animals, and they lived in areas where it can get dry. All animals that live on land had some sort of “lip” covering to protect their teeth from exposure. Animals that have evolved teeth, like tusks, were used in ways that is not for eating. So I believe that most prehistoric land predators had tooth protection.
