Turkey's SUNGUR Air Defense Missile System managed to hit its target accurately

SUNGUR Air Defense System is an air defense missile system that will be used in short-range air defense of mobile/fixed units and facilities in the battlefield and rear area. SUNGUR Air Defense Missile System is designed to be compatible with different platform integrations.
SUNGUR currently has on-board (4 missiles with EO/IR system on BMC Vuran) and single soldier configurations. In addition to land-based use, work is being done on the integration of Bayraktar TB2 and SUNGUR missiles into AKINCI TİHA.
The 8.5 kilometer range air defense missile used in the system stands out as the most important feature that distinguishes SUNGUR from its counterparts. While the missile system increases target hit sensitivity with its Imaging Infrared Seeker (IIR) technology, it also has a significant advantage in destroying air targets with its partially penetrating titanium particle warhead, which has a higher effectiveness than the similar system in the inventory.
