In this control engineering and control theory tutorial, we explain how to check and verify the stability of state space models in MATLAB. We explain three approaches for verifying the stability of state-space models in MATLAB:
1) Using MATLAB's function isstable()
2) Computing the poles of the state-space models in MATLAB
3) Computing eigenvalues of the matrix A of the state-space model in MATLAB
4) Plotting and graphing the impulse response of the system in MATLAB
