Yup. I panic sometimes, but when I just let off the brakes and plow through, it usually works fine. It's the braking that makes me slip on the off camber stuff sometimes. Just gotta commit. 😁👍
Great video. I just rode at Windrock for the first time yesterday. Video doesn’t do the place justice. Nice job hitting the red bull drop. I wanted to, but was there alone and had a 3 hour drive home, so I decided to play it safe. Definitely hitting it next visit!
Love the channel dude. I'm new to mtb and I've been riding a lot of challenging trails for myself. Seeing you 2 figure stuff out together gives me some great confidence!
If you can do it, go for it. It's gonna be rough though. Pump up those those tires, or use an insert if you can. I've seen some dudes on XC bikes there even. Those guys must be beasts on a bike. lol
Dang, you ride hard. I run 26 psi and a DH casing rear tire and I just broke my rim this weekend. That's after having it relaced and trued just over a month ago. Gonna get a DH rim to replace it.
@@jakerahenkamp8138 Oh I did. That's why I was so surprised by your PSI, and that you still managed to destroy the rim with a cush core in. You must have been doing some gnarly shiz.
I've always ran Exo+ in the rear, but I'm definitely running DD minimum for the rear now. I'm loving the performance of the DH casing with MaxGripp though. Might do Double Down + Cush Core next season.
100%. So much steeper and gnarlier than a lot of places we've been to. So much so that we were terrified to try the double black trails. The blues, reds, and blacks were plenty gnarly enough. Newer riders(like us) are gonna be on their brakes majority of the time.
@@dukeofmtb It's my closest bike park, I've been there maybe a dozen times (was there yesterday actually) since I started riding 2 years ago, and y'all killed it. I still haven't hit Red Bull, but it really doesn't seem THAT bad (the rock drop before it on the other hand... no thanks.) So much of that place is about commitment. And good brakes, haha. Only time I smell brakes, even after visiting a few other DH parks. I did see a new trail yesterday, I know this was back in May(?) y'all went, but there was fresh cut trail for the race you mentioned, and they recently cleared the top section from the upper shuttle dropoff (Windmill), and probably easier than Drop Out or dega, super loamy and fresh. I still haven't gotten my bravery back after a second clavicle break in 14 months, but determined to make it out there more often to just get comfy with its insanity again. Anyway, great job!
Well at least one of you were able to clean it without casing. Great job both of you.
Lol. Thanks. 😅
Motivation! This is one of the best MTB channels. Hopefully someday when I am back home in Michigan I'll meet you both.
I'll be looking forward to someone introducing themselves as "Officer Winkle." hehe
WOW So steep and sketchy! Well done both of you!
Thanks! Just glad we survived with only minor injuries. lol
Good job to both of you! Keep on riding mates! 🤘
Salamat! 😊
Cant watch the vid yet but looks like a good one🤘
Nice ya guys / gals !!
Those off camber sandy sections are my kryptonite! So much sketch but looks so fun!

Great job! Drop out and Reacharound are my favorite trails
Thanks! They're super fun.

Thanks! Yeah, Windrock is gnarly AF in person. You probably made the right call with the drop, especially riding solo. Next time. 👍
Yo dexter, let me know next time you go
Super 👍
Wooh😮
That place looks rough. Levels above our pay grade! Good stuff, keep it up please
Haha. We hardly survived. Thanks!
Absolute Animals. Love to see it!

Thanks, man! Figuring stuff out together can be super fun. Finding a survivable line is like solving a puzzle. 😁
I wish I can give you guys more than 1 thumbs up
Just you leaving that comment is like a second thumbs up. Thank you.
Thinking about hitting windrock. My full squish is still waiting on parts so I'm on the hardtail.

When the trails looks steep on a Go Pro then you know the trails are really steep as f$#@ !!
lol. 100% This. If it looks scary in camera, then you just know.
Yeah boi
🤘😁 yeah boi!
Dh casing, Cush core, 27psi, and I broke a rim at horns lol

I didn't skip the ads hehe
Thanks, Shaggy. 😊
Nice!!!!
Thanks, Craig!
@@dukeofmtb I’ll get there one day!!
@@punisher9oneone They have jeeping there too, and all sorts of other stuff related to things with wheels.
@@dukeofmtb I know!! My jeep group (Wicked Jeeps) went there this year lol.
@@punisher9oneone nice!
🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

Windrock receives so much funding from tire companies...coincidence? I THINK NOT. jk 😂 Looked like a hell of a time though!
Lol. Definitely a tire destroyer. Can't wait to go again next season. 😁
🤙👌🤟
Windrock will really beat you up. Recently did 3 full days there it was a serious endurance test
GOOD JOB YOU TWO! :D \m/
Thanks! 😅
Been so long since I've ridden there.
You should visit it again some time.
Not bad for some Half-Mountain Bikers!
Lol. Half? We don't even have quarter mountains here. We're more like hill bikers. 😂
@@dukeofmtb I only meant half as in you were only going down and no climbing 🤪
Lol. With how steep those trails are, it would be impossible to climb. Some parts can't even be walked up.
were you on EXO? i haven't had an issue on EXO yet but i thought for sure Arizona was going to eat them.
