The song is called “suzanne”.
I wrote it quite a while ago - so long ago in fact that I can just about remember playing it at some of my gigs 👀😢 so some of you may have heard it already … ?
It tells the tale of an older woman that spends her time drinking alone in a bar , thinking back to happier days . A time when she was beautiful and youthful and unaware of what the years would bring (happy Friday … you’re welcome 😉)
A massive thank you again to everyone that was involved in making this video so special . From the actors and actresses to the set design - I’m so proud of this one .

This works at so many levels - the woman and the man of her dreams not working out the way she planned - but the same concept applies to someone with the job of their dreams that does not work out either. The song speaks to many ways life does not work out the way you wanted.

I absolutely love this song and i would love for it to be played at my funeral! I hated my name when i was younger but i feel so proud now that im older to be called Suzanne as my truly Amazing parents named me it!

After seeing this song as part of Passenger's live setlist for a couple of years now it'll be nice to finally hear a studio recorded version along with a new music video!

I feel this bar/club is this meta place inside Mike's head, where he relives people he knew, knows and wish he did. What makes it such a great set of music videos (apart from considerably adding to the songs, this one in particular) is because I feel like I distincly recognise those walls. And those people.
