I hope the government of Gibraltar steps in to keep this building from falling into the hands of developers that intend to use it as anything other than a Christian church. Another local reformed church congregation has been using these premises ever since they were forced to leave their last building to make room for Eurocity. They also face an uncertain future with respect to a place of worship. It's encouraging to see Minister Cortes showing real support for those who are facing such uncertainty and for the historic significance of the building itself. I only hope that he will be able to persuade his ministerial colleagues to stand up for what is right and proper.
Sad but probably inevitable. Like most Scots of my age, I had a low key upbringing in the Church of Scotland, the reformed church, although not a practicing Christian I still hold on to tenets from that upbringing, I wouldn't change it for the world. It was always a pleasant environment & only left a good impression on me, surrounded by good people & absolutely no fear.
This is what happens why you try to preach “love your neighbor as yourself” without preaching “love the LORD your God with all your heart, and all your mind and all your strength.”
@Peacefulmonk And what does that mean? A stupid empty minded threat. Religion is for the dumb. It’s a useless nothing. Grow up kiddo. Jesus simply never existed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love from The McKerral Family (Chryston Parish Church). 3:27
It is a sad day, as a member of the Church of Scotland and a member of the RN I always found a friendly welcome and fellowship.
Keep this building around for many years to come. It's beautiful.

Keep this historical church out of developers hands and other shark's turn her in to a RN museum or a military museum .
May i come over, and we can meet? I can serve there if the persons want my help for a whileor something. Rev. Daniel.
Why is this church closing?
Because nobody is going to it anymore. As humanity grows up we don’t have a need for irrational deluded fictional fantasy religious gibberish.

Did a priest diddle you as a kid or something?
Because they abandoned the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and traded it for social justice and theological liberalism.
Um...why is it closing?
Because it forsook the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and now He has forsaken it.
Could it become a Catholic Church?
MacLean is pronounced MacLANE, not MaCLEAN.
Catholic?
Reformed Presbyterian.
@@ionutmihailbarta6677 Why
@@TRUECEL14 the Church is Presbyterian, part of the Reformed Church of Scotland.
@@ionutmihailbarta6677 That is unfortunate.
Quite a few Catholic churches in Scotland once belonged to the Church of Scotland. eg. St Joseph's in Milngavie.
Fantastic. I love seeing churches close. A sign of humanity growing up.
And mass growth of mosques in Europe?
