As a German home brewer I've got a recommendation for those brewers that can't ferment at low temperature. They should brew a lager but take a Kölsch Yeast instead of a lager yeast. Kölsch is a famous lagerkind Ale that every brewer should know.
I recently tried some of their base malts on the recommendation of a friend. Ye Olde Pale Ale malt completely _made_ my Red Ale. It's toasty, bready, and clean. Definitely going to be my go to base malt for any style that can be tweaked enough to allow it.
The mint is probably the rye. "Beer talker" reminds me of my days on the rugby team at U. Washington. We would have drink ups after a match and 'beer talking" was a favorite pastime late into the drink up. Lets just say the speech was garbled.

‘A little green apple’, now there’s a basic brewing throwback. 😂

Steve, hope you're doing well. Stay positive.
I can't wait to try out their Pre-Prohibition 6 row malt for my pre pro pilsner tomorrow!
You had me at 'Belgian'...
Kudos to you, guys. Hope to see small hops and yeast local producers. Cheers.

Took a tour at sugar creek a while back. He knows what he is doing.

Actually a better description is our beer talk speech was gargled....
I think I saw Belgian Funk on tour with Chocolate Sensation back in the 80's
Good video, I feel like you could twist that grain bill around ever so slightly and end up with a nice English Mild.
How’s the recovery going Steve?
Hey, where have you guys been ? Besides IN.
I've posted every two weeks for a couple or three months. Where have you been? :-) - James

@@basicbrewing Where Have You Been, isn't that a Rihanna song.
Never been a huge Belgian fan, a lot of them just seem too sweet. Unless your talking Belgian lambic.
