Wow! I'm not even 5 minutes in and I've learned a ton just about workflow! For whatever reason, I didn't even think to just use the mirror tool to complete the first sketch. I would've sketched the whole thing and wasted so much time. Learning every day. As for the rest of the video with all the surfaces and stuff, my head is spinning. I'll get there.
These kinds of models are a lot of fun to make! Surfacing gives you a number of ways to make it. I enjoy your work on UA-cam too, I can't wait to see what you do next.
Oh that is so elegant and cool! Beautiful work! Is it OK that I like this video better than the FreeCAD one..? When it comes to surfaces, I think it's safe to say that "It's Over! You have the High Ground"
Thank you for your kind words! Your support means a lot. As Obi-Wan Kenobi once said, 'In my experience, there's no such thing as luck.' So, I'm grateful for all the positive feedback I can get. May the Force continue to inspire your CAD endeavors!
@@ExMachinaEngineering UA-cam would never be the same without your insight that I think nobody else brings to the table. I can't wait to see you blow up the speedmodeling competition
@@JokoEngineeringhelp Again, I am touched by the hgh praise you deem me worthy of! Thank you so much. I'm in the process of training and developing solutions for the competition. Let's see how it goes.
When you're making the hexagons into a grid, is there a reason why you duplicate the hexagon and pattern the pair on a square grid instead of patterning a single hexagon on a grid with axes at a 60′ angle. Which hexagon grid is the bestagon grid? (With apologies to @CGP Grey)

@@JokoEngineeringhelp I guess it's my turn to say, I'm glad you caught that. lol. Never doubted it, though! Thank for teaching us all, man.

Both work! I happen to have had certain dimensions memorized for the grid shown, so that was easier for me.
are you javanese?
Any idea why was my comment flagged and deleted ?
It was a thank you for you videos and how they helped me.
No idea- it wasn't me. I'm a linux fan so I certainly wouldn't go after a profile picture that looks like tux! My pleasure
@@JokoEngineeringhelp Thank you and thank you for replying.
@@toma.cnc1 I just checked your channel, you're doing really awesome stuff. If you ever need something promoted, I'd gladly get behind your work.
@@JokoEngineeringhelp I have also @toma.3d and @tomapc if you have some time to browse. Thank you, very much appreciated.
