- Anywhere Object Storage is my first cross platform mod released for Farming Simulator 22. In this tutorial I explain how each of the four versions within the pack work and the best method for placing these within your shed or farm to convert any shed into an storage shed.

Just a heads up - there is an issue with the Field Bale Store spawn point not being big enough to get the bales out of storage - have already fixed this, just waiting on Giants to accept the update as an urgent fix!

Very nice mod. Thanks very much for sharing! It would've been helpful, in the video, to show exactly how to spawn/retrieve items from storage, as not everyone may know how to do this.
Is it possible to fix this issue locally, e.g. by some XML hacking? Or maybe translate the contents of the storage to smaller bales, so that at least the content of the storage is accessible? Or may we download a fixed version outside of modhub?
I placed this with bales now and now I see the reactions that it's not working now 😂

Argsy for taking the time and putting in the effort in developing the Anywhere Object Storage mod. Well done. Would like to make a suggestion on the hay bales and straw bales based on RLE.
The bottom bails are placed on edge. Then broadcast rock salt on the ground prior to placing the bales. This will reduce the amount of moisture the bales can collect from the ground. The moisture will cause mildew and mold on the bottom of the bales. On top of the bales broadcast rock salt again. Do this on each layer to reduce the moisture and mildew on the bales. The next layer the bales are placed as you have them in the mod. Rock salt is good for cattle and horses. The hay is all natural. For all natural cattle, horses and Bison.
This is a suggestion only. I am certain to do the suggestion would take up a lot of time. May not be possible do to the limitations of the game engine.
Once again sir thank you. Bailing hay, straw, Alfalfa. 4 K map with 4 fields. Field 1 will produce about 2,022 bales. Your mod for hay really reduces the amount of time it takes to stack the bales.

Thank you for your comment and advice on the real life methods for stacking bales. It would be great to have those as options but limited somewhat by how the object storage is coded in the game engine. would be nice to have the requirement to 'input' salt to be able to extract the bales at the end, and stack appropriately but think you will just have to use your imagination for that!

Congrats on your first mod! I love QoL stuff like that. And as you already said in the video, this will be great for maps with little sheds that are pre-placed, but won't get much use. The Elm Creek Barn for example, never wanted to remove it and have a crater in my yard, but didn't want to use it because it's cumbersome. One little thing I spotted in the infotext for the smaller 1k and 2k versions: It says it can store pallets and bales instead of just bales, maybe change the text for those two if possible. Super awesome Argsy!!! Congrats on the mod, I will absolutely be using this. Just an idea, maybe a smaller version for the smaller maps, like a 50 bale/pallet or a 25 bale/pallet version? I like the big maps, but my time goes into the small(ish) maps. Either way, super awesome and congrats again!!!

This is a fantastic idea Argsy! There are so many sheds on maps. Now we don't need to add another one. No collisions allows the shed to hold equipment if needed. Well done!
Thanks Mrs Professor! It was something that bugged me on maps as well, so plugged a gap, figured I had this issue, surely others did as well. Turns out I was right in that!
Just this past weekend I was playing on Sariola with the daughter and trying to figure out how to use map appropriate sheds but get storage... There is a similar mod on the hub but it's a bit wonky (has collisions and they are larger than the bales oddly) but I will certainly be swapping them out now!
Do hope you can get the markers lowered to ground level (or maybe it was just the level you had placed them, seems like that larger steel with pad shed would have been level enough to put the makers on the ground for).

I think you are right about the no ground levelling in the field made it look worse, on the shed floors it was acceptable. Seems a lot have the same issue you did.

After FSG mangled the name I eventually found it tonight and just installed. Having a video to watch with a few examples of how it can be used is really useful, I already have some thoughts on how and where I can use it that I didn't have before.

Very great mod!! Would love a smaller option for some UK sheds? Maybe like half the depth, and also a slightly smaller 'delivery' trigger, so i stop accidently putting bales in the shed when driving passed! Very good job though! Also, maybe develop a silage bale option? Here in uk we would stack silage bales like that one on top of eachother due to weight, so maybe the staggered option?

Brilliant mod. But one thing you didn't explain was how to retrieve things from storage. Perhaps when it releases you could do a quick video showing how it works when storing items and retrieving them?

back with Giants for testing, still waiting for them to look at - frustrating process as I had fixed the spawn issue straight after release but when they retested it they picked up some other issues.

Can you add a 100 pallets version? I love to seperate bales and pallets. First I don't want to trigger the storage accidently with bales and second I hardly ever have more than 100 pallets at once. Of coures it would be nice to have the 250 and 500 versions also for either bales or pallets (besides the already available versions).

Brilliant!. How does the count work for larger things, for example the 500 piece if you filled with cotton bales, that are alot larger than say pallets.
The visuals don't match the storage, so could have 500 cotton bales or 500 small square bales, it just counts each item and provides a visual representation of them, much the same as how animal pens work

One of the most useful ideas/mods I have seen yet. Unfortunately, I didn't see this post until after I placed the small outside bale storage and lost 153 Sileage bales because it would not let me spawn them back out (outside, in the open.) How will it be listed that the update is approved and posted?
Hi Randy, Thanks for that, I'm sorry you haven't been able to use the bales. Are you on PC or Console? It is currently back with Giants for testing - if it fails again (they decided to pick up some other issues on it rather than just the change I made to fix the spawn trigger) then I will likely upload it to my itch page for PC players until I can get it through testing properly. If/when it passes testing I'll certainly be posting on all my socials etc that its been updated.
@@ArgsyGaming I am playing on PC. I see that the mod hub now has a zip file with a later release date than the original file I had. Did it get approved and posted?
Any update on the fix of this? This is the best bale mod on the game. Shame Giants is taking their sweet time.

Hey Argsy, I'm having some issues with the bale storage sometimes spawning my bales under the map or just not letting me spawn them at all (says there's not enough space to spawn but there is)
