This is so real. After I had my son, I didn’t care what I thought of myself or what others thought. I would wear nightgowns and pajamas at any time of the day instead of actually getting dressed. I barely did my hair etc sometimes we can be so consumed with being a mom, that we forget we have basic needs too.
I think a lot of it is depression. You don't have to be crying in bed all day to be considered as depressed. Being a mom takes everything out of you and when you go from developing a baby during pregnancy and then taking care of one afterwards, you are often depleted of many of your nutrients and minerals and vitamins and those deficiencies can cause mild depression or severe depression even when you are mildly depressed, the last thing you want to do is put forth extra effort to get dressed and look nice. Eating healthy and getting more sun and vitamin D is a very good step towards improving your mood
Im a mom of two sets of twins and I know who it is to struggle with your weight. I have total of 5 kids at the age 10,8,&4. I never have time or the money for myself. She actually looks good before the makeover and she looks amazing after the makeover
The dress and foot wear were trendy but not attractive. Your producers need to cater more to your clients and less to your sponsors. This young woman looked better before you started.
Geri Acheson in this business you have to work with your sponsors or they will drop you. If you get dropped then you cant give people makeovers, you can’t make them feel good about themselves because the money won’t be there to do it. I love that dress, those shoes and that hair!!! It is a very clingy fabric and would show lumps and bumps in even the skinniest of girls. She would've been much better in a body con dress of different fabric! That being said she is absolutely stunning. The hair is fantastic! :)
The clothing choice was a definite,'NO!" Her body type in a less clingy dress with a bit of a flow to the bottom with a lite little jacket would have been a much better choice.

It isn't just you. No one thinks she looks better. The dress was unflattering and the shoes were truly hideous. She was perfectly attractive before and could simply have been put into a flattering outfit. The hair color was interesting, but as a busy mother how will she be able to keep up with roots touchup, etc. Bad choices all around. Rachel Ray is pretty phony with her over the top reactions. She's often not dressed well either. She should NEVER wear a turtle neck which I've seen her in. Looks like she has a had a neckectomy. Dressing well is knowing what flatters your body type, not highlighting your flaws.

I big chopped; lost all the baby weight and just incorporated a wardrobe that was stylish enough for a young mom. This mommy was really beautiful before the make over though.
The hair is beautiful don’t get me wrong but why red? The hardest color to maintain while being a super busy mom. I would have done some balayage or maybe went a little lighter with the blonde and added a shadow root. Little maintenance. As long as she’s happy that’s all that matters though.
