Rycon Roleplays I am mesmerized and distracted every time you stroke your magnificent goatee completely derailing me from the story making me rewind the video
It's so interesting to see how different people react in environments and situations like this (even if they're simulated.) Chloe becoming really emotional, caring and passionate, Scott being calm and deeply focused, Jake being active but trying to lighten the mood, and Rycon keeping the team together and forming strategies.
Man, this is so good. I normally can't watch much of other people playing RPGs, but I've been totally absorbed into this game for the past couple of hours. Props to the GM, he really knows how to build and maintain tension. And to the players for getting immersed in the world and helping me be immersed as well. I've got a lot of hours of this game to watch ahead of me, and I can't wait to see what happens.
naw, you can't save others if you don't take care of yourselves first. they have no real shelter, little food, weapons they don't know how to use, and barley any idea what's going on. There best hope for survival is to be selfish tell they can afford to be generous. The first group would've been to costly to save.
Izak Tait do you play gm in z-land like dnd or another story driven game by giving missions and tasks or is it more about setting a scene and giving challenges
Nahan Rea, you can do both. During the outbreak stages, I find that the "setting a scene and giving challenges" works best since it is all about the characters *reaction* to the world that is important. If and when the characters ever settle down and perhaps find/form a larger group and base, then I think you can go with the mission style stories since then the player group is just one cog of the machine.
I was wondering do you keep track of cellphone batteries or just one day decide its empty or with GM intrusion give sigil if the phone dies? And if you do i really hope they took phone charger cables that fit cars with them :D I got idea of simpler way to keep track which i'm about to try. Example cellphone has certain amount of uses instead thinking how long it could be on until its empty of energy. So example cellphone would have 500 uses before its batteries are empty and maybe watching downloaded google maps would always take 1 use each time player would check the map and maybe listening song if the player has such in phone memory would use 2 and watching movie would then take 40 example. But things like this will be more likely to be game specifics instead real addition to actual rulebook. But wanted to share the idea, maybe someone else might like it and use it too.
I was just thinking Rycon wouldn't want the kid in the middle or next to him, but next to the other door on Chloe's side for roleplay's sake. He's no longer a social or trusting guy, I think. I can't wait to see that condition evolve as the game continues.
Kill List: Rycon 1x Zombie When you think going to a rural area will keep you safe, you run into sheep and cows lol. It looks like you're heading to the Mountains so hopefully it will be safer.
I mean a cattle stampede is pretty terrifying even when they're NOT actively trying to kill you. (Can't wait for the zombie rabbits! Although realistically, zombie BIRDS would be the real terror. With rodents close behind (live in walls & sewers, can get through small holes). Wonder if they're going by "Feed"-ish rules ie. limited by the species' mass, or if it's simply a matter of contagion.)
Izak* "And he has a bit of a sniffle" Jake* "Ugh - Drive" perfect, mate. Perfect. That shit's gonna save your life. I also love how Rycon seemed to immediately change the way he talked after the kill, adjusting for his character's increasing lack of social ability.
It helps that I really like that song, and had it memorized at one point. **chuckle** I finished this chapter, the whole story is going very meta, with the first stages of the development of the game being included as part of the game reality. o.O
Look it was ok, then the child turned up and it hurt, like if you bail on adults you can convince yourself they’ll live, but when it’s a child, it hurts And knowing this kind of story you know it won’t end well for the kid
It's all well and good until they realize the sickness has to be transmitted in a way other than through blood... likely airborne. Logically, the behavior patterns of those infected demonstrate that, somehow, the infected can recognize others who are infected. Figuring out how would enable one to possibly work out how to hide. Presumably, this has something to do with the conspicuous lack of blood inside the bodies of the infected. Seeing how much a person bleeds might also be a potential means of testing for infection. But the real question is which main character is going to die first?
I am really enjoying the series! The first hour or two (With the little girl outside) I had initially thought it was a bit to meta (just the actions that you guys were taking) however, since then, the interactions and everything seems to flow a lot more naturally! That roll with kid...It is GREAT! You are doing an amazing job, and sorry Rycon for the rolls. Keep up the amazing work!
I felt like we acted as would given the situation, we've all seen the tv shows read the comics, that would straight up terrify me. Staying inside and not helping was the realistic thing for us to do I believe. Those rolls though right!! Haha the dice hate me
Hello Rycon! I'm enjoying the series very much, it's really entertaining. You all seem to be able to strike a great balance between humor and intensity! Where did you find the background for your videos? I'd love to have that as an animated background for my computer!
rage virus doggos? That's probably the most terrifying/heartbreaking thing to ever fight especially if they don't look all that different when they first turn.
Honestly i guess for me i don't see how someone can gain a mental wound from killing what is no longer human like people know that once you're zombified there's no going back the outter parts of the brain essentially liquify and the only functioning area is instincts the zombies have been stripped of their humanity there shouldn't be any guilt from killing a monster yes some remorse for those that were once kindred people but not for undead monsters
Is it bad that my Knee-Jerk reaction before he could even finish explaining that a child was stepping out of the parked car was "RUN HIM OVER!!!"? Because my head went to the exact same place as the Hair-Folicle-challenged man's (Scott?) did. That shit's a trap, they ran out of gas/engine trouble/etc and now the parents/kidnappers are laying prone in the roadside ditch waiting for someone to stop so they can carjack them.
I think this is the first time I’ve ever complained about this- the sound quality is a bit much. I can hear beard scratching/moving and other shifting noises. Honestly it’s a bit overwhelming.
Rycon you should go insane and have a zero in person skills but have like plus 10 or 15 to everything other than people skills because if you are insane im pretty shure you wouldent have second thoughts about murder and other things like that. just a thought.

Hey guys, TritonWolf aka Scott Andrews. If ya have questions please ask :D
Scott Andrews Ah! You're the TritonWolf from Long War. Very very cool, dude. I totally didn't know that. Awesome.
Yup, the one and only! Thanks bro :D
I can't wait to see how Rycon deals with having not one, but TWO Grievous Wounds!!
+Laura Pierson I'm right on the edge now
If it comes to that... just make sure you find baseball bat.
TheAmethyz no neagan no
Rycon's new name - "Lucille" XD
Scott Andrews that's the bat
Okay..def cried a little at the kid being all alone & scared. As a mom to 2 little boys that tears me the hell up.
+Sera Smiles we weren't happy about it either
That first guy over the intercom reminded me of the Intercom Ghoul from New Vegas :)
"Piss off, smoothskin!"
Haha, well I think I dealt with him alright
Aww man :( feel bad for that first group they didnt brake for.

brandy w. My bleeding heart would bring my death in a zombie apocalypse xD
+Dimitri Tebow I certainly felt for them
BRUH ME TOO, that part was rough
#blamejake
"Will go to some dark places"
yes yes yes get to the mass murder and completely unethical choices
Just you wait ;)
The group: condemns at least 4 people to death.
Also the group: huh, it's odd we haven't seen anybody recently.
Brilliant I can relax and enjoy this epic journey
damn why is everything on fucking fire in this episode
Thank goodness I found this episode just in time, thank you guys so much for making an awesome series like this one
Anytime! We love it
GM here for any questions anyone has.
How forgiving is this game to someone who's new to pen & paper roleplaying?
Eric Jones, it is a fairly challenging RPG but the difficulty modifiers of all the skill rolls can be made easier by your GM, so it is scaleable.
Izak Tait do you play gm in z-land like dnd or another story driven game by giving missions and tasks or is it more about setting a scene and giving challenges

Those Inception "Bwaahs" at the beginning really set the scene XP
Man really liked that bit with the zombie animals. Quite unique!
+Featherhead Fletch it's a terrifying new world for us
Chloe “we have to let him in and help him.”
Me rewatching the series: HAHAHAHA
I wanna see some fanart of this campaign, yo.
Hell yeah, I support that
Hey all! Chloe here~ any questions about the game or compliments i'd be happy to answer and receive
#blamejake
I think Chloe is the moral compass of the group! ^-^
Stay tuned ;)
Chloe Bliss well in that case the pout at 26:58 is super duper cute. 😊
i think ur the most lovely does that count
Kill List:
Rycon 1x Zombie
When you think going to a rural area will keep you safe, you run into sheep and cows lol. It looks like you're heading to the Mountains so hopefully it will be safer.
Mountain goats, zombie mountain goats.
I got into watching this a lot I love this series
Also This has been fricking hillarious
Glad there is some humor to lighten the heavy parts
"Fuck 'em"
favorite line from Rycon so far x)
yes been waiting all week
Geez. Turns out cows can run at about 25kph top speed. But who knows with Z-cows. Zows?
Zows!!!!
Did Chloe fall asleep? LOL!
+Asha Hall yep for a little bit haha and was in the car in game though so I suppose she could have dozed off there too
let me live! i did my best to stay awake lmao i just had a super rough night
Chloe Bliss Stay awake!! There's a sick kid in the car. Don't want the poor kid turning and attacking you.
True enough
i hope someday we see a badass person chasing the zombies 😂
nathan rea zombies would not be running away
joseph palmer running at* excuse me
nathan rea ok
Love this series
Izak* "And he has a bit of a sniffle" Jake* "Ugh - Drive" perfect, mate. Perfect. That shit's gonna save your life. I also love how Rycon seemed to immediately change the way he talked after the kill, adjusting for his character's increasing lack of social ability.
I'm late to the party but I love Zland, Rycon and all. Your great!
The perception check tells me somethings up with the kid for sure. What does staying away from people matter when you've got a zombie in the car.
Indeed!
And Rycon breaks into song, complete with gestures... "We didn't start the fire..." Funniest moment, in my opinion. :D
Glad someone appreciated it hehe
It helps that I really like that song, and had it memorized at one point. **chuckle** I finished this chapter, the whole story is going very meta, with the first stages of the development of the game being included as part of the game reality. o.O
I just got the reference to Z-Land. We pronounce New Zealand new sea-land. Nice.
okay let's get creepy. headphones in, lights out, 1:00 with the duvet over my head...this is gonna be awesome.
Nice!
@37:09
*I exit the car*
"YOU WHERE THE CHOSEN ONE! IT WAS SAID YOU WOULD DESTROY THE SITH, NOT JOIN THEM!"
*Get back in the car and drive off*
3rd time re-watching the first season...never gets boring haha
Better story than the walking dead....real shit.
Perfect thing to come home to, an episode of Z-land! And, of course, a mandatory #teamtriton
Thanks Iulia :D Always as loyal follower. Mwahaha!
Betrayed!
I'd lol if google maps blurred the faces of the cows...
LMAO!
Look it was ok, then the child turned up and it hurt, like if you bail on adults you can convince yourself they’ll live, but when it’s a child, it hurts

But the real question is which main character is going to die first?
I was waiting for a joke - "Can I axe you a question?" Edit: Ending literally killed me! =)
XD
It sounds like there is a lot of Scott's in New Zealand.
Love this series! That kid voice at the end was incredible ;) Sounded like a true Londoner ;)
XD
I am really enjoying the series! i love this, really fun to watch you guys, even with chloe falling asleep as this was the most boring thing ever
holy hell it is seriously raining outside
Chloe's face at 26:53 is killing me. She's the paladin of the group, to apply other terms.
She's also asleep on the job XD
Another episode of rycon goes phychopathic
Someone should draw the zombie cow stamped
200th comment! About the 4th time I re-watched these. I would love to know what that role was for at 35:28 haha
now i have to wait for a week again T^T
YESSS HYPEEE
Would be cool if you had someone to illustrate what's happening, with the narration. (Just gotta use my imagination for now haha)
+Gabriel Frost so do we 😉
Hello Rycon! I'm enjoying the series very much, it's really entertaining. You all seem to be able to strike a great balance between humor and intensity! Where did you find the background for your videos? I'd love to have that as an animated background for my computer!
+ThisGuy Shutterstock I believe brought the image there then overplayed the dust effect ontop
Good thing nobody's needed to destroy a beloved family member or pet yet....
*FORESHADOWING!*
When it's the first day I don't think someone would set up a trap
+SWANSON NATOR yeah, they are just paranoid hehe
Rycon Roleplays yeah hahahaha
Ooh, the 'one of them or one of us' thing has already started. Now things are getting serious.
Oooh so the kid's infected? Will Chloe shoot him I wonder?(Probably not but it'd be an interesting development)
Dante Grey They don't have guns yet so it would have to be slicing, bashing or smothering. Or abandoning.
Martionize oh yeah you're right, dang I really want to see how Chloe's going to deal with it
Dante Grey he wouldn't do that to a kid infected?nah -has flashbacks to part 2
Dante Grey he wouldn't make a little boy infected.-flashbacks to episode 1
Part 2-
If those cows had caught up to you guys it would have been an utter disaster....
+Tex wolf The outcast ranger well done haha
Yasss!
Oh god, it infects animals too?!
rage virus doggos? That's probably the most terrifying/heartbreaking thing to ever fight especially if they don't look all that different when they first turn.
I'd feel worse about killing zombie dogs than human children and adults.
@@silasstryder all im going to say is Zombie Chihuahuas would be terrifying
IVE UNDERSTAND IT! ITS FALLOUT STATS
It would be super Lego logan adventures like beyond the beyond and Golden Sun Games jrpg games. We making of youtube studio.
I like how I got a walking dead ad before the vid 😂
+Brayden Ward haha that's fitting
Rycon Roleplays ironic isn't it?
The kid clearing his throat was emasculating
Is it bad that my Knee-Jerk reaction before he could even finish explaining that a child was stepping out of the parked car was "RUN HIM OVER!!!"? Because my head went to the exact same place as the Hair-Folicle-challenged man's (Scott?) did.
That shit's a trap, they ran out of gas/engine trouble/etc and now the parents/kidnappers are laying prone in the roadside ditch waiting for someone to stop so they can carjack them.
yay first comment
20 dead sheep
that 2 people dead
A very New Zealand statistic haha
I would imagine that the UA-camrs would be the first ones to go they have no survival skills
Alot of youtubers are normal people who have other hobbies or jobs?
in z land cow eats you
Indeed!
I think this is the first time I’ve ever complained about this- the sound quality is a bit much. I can hear beard scratching/moving and other shifting noises. Honestly it’s a bit overwhelming.
AAAAGGHHHH!!!! Not how genetics works! Or mutations! it might be kinda cool if they did ,but they don't. They just don't.
i don't know why but i really don't like the guy with the blue strip shirt and glasses.
Rycon you should go insane and have a zero in person skills but have like plus 10 or 15 to everything other than people skills because if you are insane im pretty shure you wouldent have second thoughts about murder and other things like that. just a thought.
