Toner Hot Foiling with Solid Foil Plate

- Good morning! I'm super excited today to be sharing a fun trick I discovered for using the BRAND NEW hot foil plate from Pinkfresh Studio to do hot foiling with Toner Reactive inks and some toner printed sheets and sentiments from Simon Says Stamp - and it worked SOOOO well (not perfect - I show the imperfections in the video too!)! I have a full supply list at the bottom of this post (including affiliate links) if you are curious about anything I used in this video.
This solid foil plate is already super versatile as a tool to use the negative spaces of your hot foiling from hot foil plates, foiling die cut pieces and sentiments, and creating your own foil paper. Awesome!! Have you tried the using the reverse of the foil with the black toner sheets? I will need to try both.
You can erase any over foiling! And you can take the foil that you just printed and do it on a full sheet of clean paper and run it through and get another foiled image!
For this, you actually can't - it works with hot foiling, but not toner ink foiling unfortunately. I even tried testing it - but it just ruined the foil around it that I wanted to keep. :)

This is probably a dumb question, but what do you mean by "toner inks"? Does that mean if you print an image from your computer it will work with this? (As long as it's an ink printer and not a laser printer.) Or what about dye/pigment inks -- like if you stamp an image using the standard Versamark jet black ink, would this work for that? Or is "toner ink" a very specific type of ink that you need to buy just for this? Thanks so much for the info, I am new to all this! Appreciate it :)
Not a dumb question at all! So it should work if you print an image from a laser printer - since laser printers use toner ink actually. Any stamped ink wouldn't work - there was a toner ink stamp that I believe Heidi swapp came out with, but I don't know if it is available anymore? But you can purchase many different options of pre-printed items that are done with toner ink as well! Hope that helps?
