You don’t have to add a washer to make the hood close better. Right next to the front of the fenders on the radiator covers are 2 rubber stoppers that when you twist them they either go up or down. Try it.

That hood is sick man! I'm looking to get the one with the scoop but have been hesitant cause I haven't heard of vis or mobb. Did the hood arrive in a decent amount of time after you ordered it? The reviews for vis site orders are pretty bad, ppl waiting months for their order. If I pull the trigger on this I'll go through mobb like you...just wondering how long it took to arrive. So I ordered the hood on 7/21 and it was delivered 8/18. I would definitely go through Mobb Motorsports again for an order like this. They clearly stated that the hood was insured and if you had any problem with it at arrival all you had to do was refuse it and they would cover it. In my opinion only now, don’t get it from VIS as it was higher than getting it from a third party; couldn’t make sense of it, but it was true. You will be happy with it!

I had a VIS hood on my Acura Integra for 10 years.
It was my daily driver in Chicago and the hood never faded.
It even survived outside during the polar vortex.

@@ponyh8rproductions731 I have the Terminator hood. Check local laws. The 3 inch cowl is too high and wont pass safety inspection.
Hello, why need to drill the hood to put the pins? Sorry but I didnt understand.
The pins are an added safety measure.
They also help secure carbon fiber or fiberglass hoods that may warp when they become hot or flex if you are driving to fast.
They can also be used to clean up your engine bay by shaving/deleting the hood release mechanism.
@Coleopteros It definitely is a smart modification to make things safer. Installing hood pins will give you more than just one point securing the hood to the car when you are factoring in a lighter, but softer material like carbon fiber. Also, you have to know these hoods are vented in different ways than the factory hood so having two more securing points will help protect from the hood flexing, stress cracking, or even coming open when you are driving.

@@187Tim.G Definitely. This hood is cowled to clear stuff like superchargers and the like, but not so much that it will block any of your view out the windshield.

Mobb Motorsports had the best price and the best insurance covering the hood delivery as far as damage returns.
Im liking this hood $1573.00 doesnt seem to bad for this. I may get one for my 21 gt. Did the windsheild washer lines and sprayers have the points to secure the hose and sprayers?
It is a really good hood. I have had it for awhile now and I can still tell the quality of it. The sprayers do have points to secure them in the hood already, but not the lines. I made one spot with a little drill bit and used the original hardware to secure the line in that spot and the rest holds in place from just stretching across.
Did you get it for your 21 GT? Thinking of the same. But haven’t found any videos of someone actually installing it
@@4567playstation Installing it is super simple. 4 bolts hold it on the hinges and you have to click in the window washer spray nozzles. Last thing is installing the latch holder. Honestly, I just watch an install video of an Anderson Composite hood install by CJ Pony Parts and it was exactly the same.
@@4567playstation I actually got them off of Amazon. I do know CJ Pony Parts has them, but they were back ordered at the time and I wanted it all done for Mustang Week that year I put the hood on.
Hey did you have a problem with your windshield fluid hose not fitting under your hood to spray on your windows? And how you fix it?
I did have to lightly trim a little material on one of the sprayers to get it to click in like I would like it. I just use an extendable box cutter to take just a fine layer out of the slot and the sprayer fit perfectly. They spray on the window just like the factory hood.
Did you have any problems with the windshield wiper cord? I heard with this hood it’s hard to run the cord perfectly under the hood like the stock factory hood.
I took a small drill bit and made pilot holes for the factory hose hangers to use and just hung them up like normal.
How to you add the windshield wiper fluid lines? Did you have to drill some more?
The windshield wiper fluid nozzles have a place already designed in the hood for them to click into just like the factory hood. You don’t have to drill any holes for the lines themselves. I did however chose to mount the lines to the hood using the original push hanger clamp by just drilling a small pilot hole for it to hang in. Super easy process and the lines hold in place very well.

Honestly the trays just came with the hood when I ordered it. I haven’t seen any place to buy them separately, but I don’t mind trying to look around with you. If I find anything out there I will let you know.

I used Mobb Motorsports to order the VIS hood. They were cheaper than VIS itself (which I don’t understand why) and they were openly talking about having insurance on the hood delivery all the way up until you signed for it.
Would the quik latch 38 work with this hood and car?
Yeah it will work, but it will just be a little smaller and is not rated as high. The 50’s are the same ones that the GT 500’s use and I felt they just over all were the size the car needed for looks and function. I did consider both though.
What wheels and tires are you running?
My wheels are Vossen VLE-1’s with 275/35/20’s on the front and 305/35/20’s on the rear.
Does the hood lower the iats ?
Is mobb Motorsports legit ? I can’t find any reviews on it looks a little sketchy
They 100% worked out for me. One of the main reasons I went with them was their clear insurance stance that if the hood was damaged, you could refuse delivery and they would cover it.
Does rain affect it, due to the vents?
Looks great!
Not at all. The hood has rain trays that line up right on under the vents. They catch most of the water and send it off to the sides inside of directly on anything. The trays are removable as well.

@Venom_GT500, I could not find a VIS version of this hood in anything other than carbon fiber. I will say though that it is a high quality carbon fiber and it would look just like a fiberglass or metal hood if you got it painted if you just don’t want the carbon weave pattern look. I hope that helps.
