Wow, Chiara. What a surprise song from my youth. My father and I would listen to an old radio on the fridge while I was having breakfast before school. "Sixteen Tons" was one of my favorites and you covered it flawlessly. Thanks for lifting the fog and sweeping away many cobwebs from my memory with this song. Very well done.

Hi Bill. I felt very similar! We also had a radio in the kitchen and there played early Rock'n'Roll with all the luminaries from the 50s and 60s... My mother was a big fan of Pat Bone!

You see Tennessee Ernie had a TV show that my Mom was an avid fan of, so once a week his mellow tones, guitar strumming and musings filled our living room. My Mom would tap her toes and sing along.
