I started doing this too about 10 years ago just in my Toyota corolla for a week and I really loved it. A lot of adjustments within that short amount of time and a lot of learning curve for sure but there was a sense of joy and adventure living in a car! You're very strong and always smiling! The tortellini is one of the better regarded menu items, and is supposedly the best vegetarian one (I got one for my vegetarian daughter to try). My absolute favorite is the beef stew. MREs make fine emergency meals to keep around, they're just kind of bulky and expensive - and make a lot of trash. Also, looks like you poured some of the water from the heating pouch _back_ into your water jug. I'd be real careful with that due to contamination of the water in the jug with the chemicals in the heating element...
That's what my friend said! They are bulky but actually pretty lightweight, I'd totally take one backpacking! And I should've mentioned lol that's my cleaning water, not drinking water 😊

Fun parking garage camping trick is to get yourself an outlet from home depot or whatever for about $1 and find a blank faceplate on a wall and remove it There are allmost allways live bare wires in there (you might need a security bit but a whole set of those are $5 at harbor freight) then you can hot wire the outlet up and run an extension cord into your car so you can have power without burning up your batteries! Just back up really close to the wall so the cord isnt noticeable . Be super careful and only ever have 1 wire at a time uncovered when your attaching the outlet so you don't shock yourself. Then when you leave just push the outlet into the hole and put the cover back on in case you ever go there again.. 😉
I need to see the full video (I just have 3 minutes watching) but be careful sleeping in a closed or low ventilation parking. It is dangerous beause the toxicity. Praying for you, sister. GOD bless you.
My daughter is in the National Guard and she complained of everyone getting constipated after eating the MRE’s. The said “MRE must stand for “Meals Refusing to Exit”. Hope you have better luck!

I'm actually pretty surprised that there are not cameras in that parking garage. There were even cameras in my apartment garage that I once had and that wasn't even accessible to the public.
@@lifeinmyelement There's always cameras in parking garages. I've stayed in the parking garage of a casino because the hotel rooms were booked on a night that I didn't think they would be. That parking garage in Cherokee, NC you can see them all over because it's a casino. I wasn't disturbed but maybe it's because I lost money that trip.
I stayed in my Element (or CRV) at a parking garage at a hospital in San Diego getting much needed sleep while visiting someone in the hospital. Felt safe, and knowing there are cameras helped. I’ve also stayed at hospital parking lots close to ER’s, open all night 👍, when I needed a quick safe place to rest for a few hours.

Every month I pick up a few MRE's from the Commissary out on Fairchild. If I find a bottle of Tabasco sauce, it's damn near a death match between myself (former Navy), lady friend (civilian, and a buddy whos Retired Air Force. I've learned to hide them.
All these comments, and all I'm wondering is how she didn't gas herself out with that MRE. You're not supposed to inhale the gas that comes off of it, which is why they try to nail it in your head that you should make sure it's in a ventilated place. It's basically mustard gas
I got a wild hair to move to Shreveport after 5 years I spent two summers scouting out housing in my hometown of Olympia Washington. My favorite place to sleep is the west bay Marina. There’s a restaurant, a bathroom open all night. They pipe Rock music until midnight, bonus! I am enjoying your video’s.

I never aim to find *the perfect spot*. All I am looking for is a quiet place for the night. And if you have a small car, you can park literally anywhere, it's fantastic. I have parked for free in the most touristy areas, even in fancy Monaco. You could never do that with a big van or a caravan! Micro campers are brilliant. :)
I will live in my car one day, to travel, hopefully will find a soul mate to share with❤....as I write this on Valentine's Day. My dream to travel out west and south.
No joke. MRE's are seriously the best camping food. The goal is to save space but still give you the calories needed. Buy the Chili mac MRE and save so much space and time.
Army veteran here. Not everyone likes all of the components in MREs and not everyone eats all of it(infantry soldiers will strip them down to just a few items to keep the weight down). One military MRE is around 2000 calories but there are commercial civilian rations that are closer to 1300, like XMRE. There's even one company that allows you to build your own rations. Of course, that's a little bit more expensive but it's something you might like to try. You would be surprised at the entrees you can get from some from the commercial market.
He’s sent you one of the good ones. The ranger bars in a few of them are great. But if you eat too many everything starts to stink and your body wont like it.

My thing is the inner city, for now, I d hope to move west of the Mississippi, and do it bare back like you guys, BLM dwellers troopers and alike, but I am pursuing a specific goal first, then, for sure , I intend to do real camping, cooking in the woods and all of it, I d really think, I d wd love it. Rosa....you don't like NJ? You probably don't like what other people don't like - the very congested, urban area around New York City. But the northwestern part of the state, central, & southern (Pine Barrens) portions are gorgeous. Please don't give up on my home state. Love your videos!!
