I remember this aired in a late time slot in Harrisburg when I was in college. Only 5 celebrities instead of 6, raunchy fill in the blanks (hence why it got late night time slots) and Nell Carter patronizing the contestants with "That's a good answer".
Don't pretend there weren't raunchy fill in the blank questions and answers in the 70s and that Jean Rayburn didn't call out bad/terrible responses as well.
It got late night time slots in Philly and NYC too, which really doesn't help syndicated game shows. Although Street Smarts aired at 11PM or Midnight EST in a lot of cities and it managed five seasons, but that's the one exception
Michael is decent as emcee. The use of categories is a great addition. The set design is not bad. The think music is surprisingly great, the best since 7x. The lack of one celebrity is a downer. Glad they got rid of the wheel. Nell and Vicki are working overtime, but this week's poverproduction. Thr questions are almost perfect. The Supermatch is underwhelming. The sound effects are dreadful, especially when missing a question and seems to be overkill and overproduced. The opening scene prior to the title feels no less overproduced. Not keen on the overlaid score but it was the late 90s... This version needed only a few small tweaks, but the downers really do a disservice...
RIP Coolio and Judy Tenuta, both died 9 days apart.
Nell Carter passed also.
This version was taped at Studio 33 (Bob Barker Studio) in Television City in Hollywood.
I always love it when they interact with the studio audience like this at the end of the show. I don't know why! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And the same place the 1973-82 versions taped at as well.
Love that classic cartoon boing sound they use for non-matching answers; trying to get that one as a ringtone lol.
Unfortunately, they went back to the buzzer.
You’re doing the necessary work, and it’s appreciated.

@@DorvellTStewart Never pretended.
I think I'm one of the few people who liked this version of MG though it's mostly because of Nell Carter and Vicki Lawrence.
No star wheel, no one to one word match-ups like Match Game 90' and only 5 celebrities.
And no Charles Nelson Reilly.
Or even Brett Somers either.

I forgot about Street Smarts. What a throwback than the mordern game shows we got today.
Do you have a lot more of these?

worst version ever
Please Delete this video now. Never liked this version.
Worst version of Match Game and Judy Tunta was annoying
I see that and raise you MG/HS hour or the new raunchy version
@@nintendonerdsvideos4727 The Alec Baldwin version was raunchier.
The 2016-2021 version was worse.
@@tulamello that's the one I was talking about
@@tulamello yeah, was way worse and Baldwin was the worst host in the show's history
