LED Emergency Driver Wiring Guide

LED Emergency Drivers will provide 90 minutes of power to your LED fixture during power outages.
Installation begins with removal of the fixture's driver enclosure box cover.
Wires from both ends of the emergency driver are inserted into knockouts on the fixture's driver box.
The emergency driver's gold wire connects to positive driver output wire, and its blue wire (labeled driver negative) connects to negative driver output wire.
Purple wire is connected to the fixture’s positive wire, and the remaining blue wire connects to the fixture’s negative wire.
The emergency driver's white wire is connected to the neutral fixture driver wire and 2-conductor power wire that will connect to the test switch.
The emergency driver's black wire connects to power wire that will run between the panel and the test switch. This power wire will connect to the test switch output wire.
Red and gray wires will exit through a knockout on the fixture's driver enclosure box.
White unit connectors remain unplugged until the test switch is wired to the emergency driver and power is on.
Test switch connections are made in a single-gang junction box.
Black test switch output wire connects to power wire that runs to the fixture.
The remaining black test switch wire connects to black wire from A.C. power.
Red and gray switch wires will exit through a knockout on the junction box.
The switch plate is mounted on the junction box.
Red and gray wires from the switch are joined with the emergency driver's red and gray wires.
After power is connected and on, white unit connectors are joined together inside the fixture's driver enclosure box.
Press and hold the test switch button. The panel will turn off and, after a short delay, will be powered by the backup driver. The red charging light will turn off. Release hold on the test button to return the panel to normal operation.
