So stick that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!

But some people are cheap to go with the turbo and smart enough like myself to fab up their own intercooler and charge aluminum piping. Especially if you have a decent watercooler TIG welder machine. Plus you dont need stroker kits that have forged stuff you dont need to add arp studs or bolts to hold together the heads. You dont need to mic or grind up piston rings to make crazy amout of hp. Anyway. Getting off track did you know the fastest stock 4.8 ls went 7's in the 1/4? Try that with a stock coyote engine. Fastest based Chevy motor went deep 5's faster than any ford based motor now. Brian spangler pretty sure the manual from the terminator will handle it.. the C6 would handle it too.. though i doubt the Turbo400 handled that without a rebuild.. and some upgrades..

Carlos Rodriguez coyotes are 100% more reliable in 700+ applications than any non specialty LS engine. It’s just cheaper and the design is older so people know how to build them more commonly.
I build engines professionally and yes the coyote is far more reliable under boost and lives a lot longer but 2x the price to build over an ls. I often tell customers that if you can't blueprint then ls swap. If vvt, vct, sohc and dohc is too complicated then you really shouldn't be building an engine. Run a junkyard 5.3 get a few paases on an ebay turbo set up and blow it up. Repeat the process lol. Thats ls culture

Watch LS vs Coyote shootout , I think it was engine masters builds both motors for 10k. Obv the LS won but the coyote made much more power per cubic inch. If the coyote engine wasn’t so expensive and harder to build there would be a lot more coyote swapped builds for sure

Actually modular engines because of the way they are built you can get big block power out of a smaller engine you don’t need a big block for big block power the coyote if done right can put out as much power as a 10l engine they may be expensive to buy but they pay for themselves and if you want really big power and you’re not building a streetcar the gen x coyote all motor has been breaking world records and doing it all motor it does cost about 33,000 dollars but like I said it pays for itself you’ll win back all the money you spent with interest and because the gen x coyote is made completely out of titanium it’ll last longer than any crap ls engine will ls engines are absolute cheap garbage you’ll spend 1 million dollars in 1 year just rebuilding the ls engine every week in one year and it doesn’t pay for itself it doesn’t put out as much power as the coyote can and it’s limited to way less hp than the coyote is and it’s slower by a long shot pushrod engines are limited to a certain hp so then to have big block power you will have to have a big block but the coyote is one stop shop because you can get big block power out of a smaller package
On the last run, did it look like he might have spun over the tires a little much while the water was still a little deep and covered inside fender wells with water which dripped back down onto tires while he was staging and caused him to spin.?. If I had a nickel for every time I had done that! Lol! That 4 eyed coyote will get some yonder way! He either got real lucky with the complete setup of this car or him or his mechanic knowed exactly what they were doin!?! It’s a beautiful thing when everything comes together on a build and it’ll go directly to the track and do work...

I’m positive that I’m 100% done seeing how much horsepower a ford factory 5.0 block can take before you split it down the middle!!! The answers well known and it’s about 425 safe and 500++ if your trying to blow it and don’t care and its a bit more complicated than that sometimes people say more but It takes too long to explain that on here. There's to many mustang owners that had to build the engines to make it to 1300hp and it hold up let alone a stock 5.0 engine making 1800. I can recall the engines having to get oil pump gear upgraded just to make decent power and it not fail.
How do these guys with cars with hugely modified engines never see a dyno? I’ve heard plenty of people say “it’s never seen a dyno” but from what I understand it’s very hard to get your tune even half decent without a dyno to let you cycle gears and stay on the throttle while checking things out on your laptop with the software tuning it not checking to see how much road you have left before you need to hit the brakes
