I just purchased the San Felipe, largely due to the excellent Step by Step videos that you have posted. I’ve noticed that there hasn’t been a new one in over three weeks. Do you plan on continuing this series or are you at an end? Of course I’m hoping for more as they’ve been extremely helpful to date. Thank you.
Question: when using contact cement is it necessary to remove any “overlap” before completing the project? As an example, when planking the false deck the full deck has the cement applied. However, due to various reasons (perhaps it is a half which joins to another piece) all the planking strips may not all be glued down at one setting. In completing the project at a later time, do you have to remove whatever cement that has not been covered? And if so, what is the preferred method? Is it possible simply to apply another thin layer and continue as before? Or can you just apply the cement to the plank and then press it into the previously coated but now dried deck? Contact cement does not appear to be widely used in the US in wooden ship modeling so I’m very curious as to how to take advantage of this technique. Thank you for your consideration of my question.
Beautiful
Thanks :)
